  1. Yes, another story, but this ones a true story, names changed obviously, and I thought I should write it... Here it is, criticism welcome.

    -Ari's POV-

Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful girl, surrounded by people who loved her, and one day the boy this girl was madly in love with asked her to be his. Elated, the girl said yes. Three years later, they got married, had four beautiful children and lived happily ever after. The end.

I snorted at the lame fairy tale the bimbo in front of me had written on her paper. I couldn't believe her, she was so, so thick! This wasn't even English! I looked up at the clock.

    2:28

Ecstatic, I packed my science book into my bag and put my pen in my pocket (Weird quirk of mine really) and waited for the loud blare of the bell to give me proof that the lesson was almost over. That I could go to music.

    BRAAAAAHHHHPPP

I waited for everyone else to walk out calmly, then rushed out and headed for the music building. I loved music, I loved the teacher, the sound of the guitars, the looks of sheer concentration on the drummers face. I loved the delicate tendrils of pure beauty in high, pure notes from the smooth black piano. Call me a freak but I loved every little sound, every little movement of the bass strings.

I walked into the music room and went straight to the table I shared with Liam, one of the closest people I have in this class. I watched the rest of the guys dredge into the room, smiling broadly at the teacher. Today wasn't a theory day, today was practice. I waited until Brailey had taken the roll and told us to set up, moving silently to the microphones and cords, plugging one into the dark box, testing the volume and adjusting it to suit me.

I grabbed a music stand and got the three sheets for the three songs we were learning. Smoke on the water, Scar and Black Night. I looked up at the guys, they were all set up, waiting for me, cause although Brailey was in the class, he was hungover still. So I nodded at Kyrahn, our drummer and he counted us in.

I took a deep breath and waited, my chest rising gently, my eyes closed and my head nodding at each passing bar.

  2. -Ari's POV-

22, 23 I mouthed silently then took a deep breath, opening my throat and letting the lyrics flow effortlessly from my mouth.

We all came out to the Montereax
    On the lake Geneva shoreline
To make records with a mobile
    We didn't have much time
Well Frank Zappa and the mothers, were at the best place around
'til some stu-pid with a flare gun,
Burned the place to the ground

I opened my eyes and looked up at Liam, who winked playfully, singing with the other vocal guitarist.

"Smo-o-oke on the waaa-ter, and fire in the sky! Smo-o-oke on the waaa-ter"

They burned down the gambling house
It died with an awful sound
Funky Claude was running in and out
    Pulling kids out the ground
    When it all was ove-rr
We had to find another place,
But swiss time, was running out
It seemed we would lose the race

I smiled as the boys sung the chorus, at my own little flare at the end of 'over'

Guitaaaar ssooolllloo I mouthed at Liam, who struggled not to mess up his little solo. He had such a cute concentration face, I couldn't help but laugh.

I had such an intense love for this subject, it was unexplainable, unnatural and perfect... The solo was ending, I got ready again.

We ended up at the grand hote-e-e-el
It was empty, cold and bare
With the rolling stones truck thing just outside
    Making our music there
With a few red lights, a few old beds
We made a place to swa-a-ay
No matter what, we'll get outta this
    I know, I know I'll never forget

I closed my eyes as the boys harmonized voices sung the chorus, I felt the drums calm, and finally, the room was silent and still.

"We did it boys! First run through without us fucking it up," I grinned "Now we need to do the same with Scar and Black night!"

I laughed at the groans and the turning of pages. They had gone to black night, they can't stand scar.

  3. I love this! Bump <3

  4. Amazing!!! Bump!!

  5. -Ari's POV-

After we practiced Black night a few times, the guitars were interrupted by the loud blare of the bell. Hearing the harsh sound, I grimaced and started packing up my music sheets and stand. I turned to see the guys laughing at Jacob, who had tripped over a stand leg and was pretending to die. I played with my lip bar thoughtfully as I wound up the microphone lead, humming quietly.

"I will seriously buy you a cookie if you sing that song you're humming." I look up at Liam's goofy face as I bent to pick up the microphone.

"I'll let you live if you buy me a cookie anyway?" I giggle. My voice made this song sound so haunting... It creeped me out sometimes.

"Hmmmmmm no deal, I wanna hear your voice!" He laughed and tickle-tackled me down. We had ages to kill before his bus came, and before I walked home. Cause the end of the day was here.

I rolled my eyes and shouldered my bag, waving at the guys as I walked out the room, grinning and bolting to the groups Wait-For-The-Bus spot as I call it. The guys are my best friends, I wouldn't be able to function at this hell-hole if it wasn't for them. They've been there for me since I was cast out from my other group, because of the break up and countless lies.

"Ari! We're heading up, you gonna buy monsters?" Beej called out to me. (We call him Beej cause his initials are BJ, but we're too dirty minded to call him BJ, and we have two other Brandon's that hang out with us sometimes.)

"Yeah! Let's wait for the others though!" I grin, settling down on the table while Dylan, Brayndon, (pronounced Brandon, weird yes) Ollie, Tyler, Kyle, Nick, Jolly (Brandon, we call him by his last name) and finally Potch arrive.

"Sorry guys, Potch and I got held in by Ms. Sammi for 'yelling across the room to eachother.' I mean, we were right next to eachother for cripes sake!" Ollie complained to us, with Potch bidding furiously.

"C'mon guys, we'll miss our busses if we stall too much longer" Tyler's breaking voice protested. I couldn't help but giggle.

These guys were probably the most epic and amazing friends I could ever want.

  6. Beej's POV-

Even though Ari isn't a guy, she's just as bad as us, maybe worse. She was headstrong, vicious and bitchy at first, but that's a disguise to hide her emotional side, and we got used to the bitchyness. None of us have ever seen her cry, even when we adopted her into our little group, she didn't cry in fronted us, or near us. She hated being seen as weak... I honestly thought her personality reflected her looks.

She's feisty, never goes down without a fight, which shows in her long red fringe, just how fiery she could be. With her short multi-colored hair she shows a dominant yet innocent child look. It was sweet. She was fit, mainly in the attractive sense of the word, but thin, not skinny-minny thin, but what we guys called perfect. Ari was the leader, alpha female of our little band. None of us dared to challenge her, cause we'd get our asses kicked.

    -Dylan's POV-

We all walked up to the servo, Nick and Ollie going into the chip shop, Ari Beej and I actually going up to the servo, and the others just being freaks outside the chip shop. I was a class-A thief, so was Beej, Ari was our distraction. I quickly pocketed some chocolate and a small can of V, while Beej sleeved two more cans of V.

"C'mon guys, we'll miss our busses." Ari's line drew us back outside, her holding her monsters, shoving one in her bag.

"Mm'kay , coming! Beej, come on." I coaxed him out and we all started walking back to the others.

Ari was our savior, Nat got expelled for stealing before she came to us. We now never get caught thanks to her.

We all got back just before the busses, which gave Ari the motive to leave. She saluted us like she does, then walked off, putting her headphones over her ears and pulling out her iPod. Heading home

  7. -Ari's POV-

When I got home after half an hour of walking, I was greeted by Lucifer, my little cat. I scratched his head and got out my key, opening the door and walking into my lounge room. I was an only child unless you count the soon-to-be-born baby my dad was having with a skank... Now most only children are spoiled and rotten, bitter and hateful in my school. But me, I babysit for my aunt, love my cousins half to death and wish mum could have another kid... I was a sheer miracle because my mother was told she couldn't have children...

Enough of that... I walked through the beaded curtain into my room, smiling at the walls completely covered in pictures, posters, a pin board with so many to-do lists it wasn't funny and stickers. I've been in this room almost my whole life and accumulated so much stuff on my walls I couldn't bear to tear it down.

I threw my bag onto my bed and un-pinned a picture of me as a kid, around five with my best friend at that time. Alex Lomtari. He was more than my best friend... I got teary-eyed at the long-ignored memory gnawing at my brain.

I walked hand-in-hand with Alex down the streets of Riverton, a tiny little town, but home to us. He was grinning broadly as if to say 'Yeah she's mine, you can never take her' to all who looked at us weird. His grey-gold eyes glinted as he saw something in a shop across the road. He pushed a five-dollar note in my hand and looked me in the eyes.

"Ari, go into the deli and get two drinks and some chips, I'll be right back okay?" He kissed me lightly on the cheek and crossed the road.

"Just these love?" The bright voice of the lady chirped. I nodded shyly and handed her the money, getting two dollars of it back. Alex was outside when I got out and took a drink and a packet of chips from me, smiling as we walked to the park.

"Ari, ever wondered what it would be like to be in a wedding? Like, not as a bridesmaid or a flower girl, but as the actual bride?" Alex beamed at me.

"No... Why Alex, do you wonder?" I ran a hand through my fawn colored hair, smiling slightly.

"Yeah... My dad told me the other day that when a girl says yes to your proposal, you can't ever be happier," he reached into his pocket, pulling out a cheap, silver ring decorated with small zirconia circles, "Imma find out now... Ari Karla Mudget, will you marry me when we're old enough?"

"A-Alex, yes!" I throw my arms around him giggling. He was insanely serious.

I could feel the people watching us, grinning, 'aww-ing' and shaking their heads at our innocence. I blushed and kissed him on the cheek softly.

The tears were flowing freely, because nine years ago, in a few more weeks, was the anniversary of that day. A few weeks later was the nine year anniversary of something else too...

I reached for my razor blade.

  11. The young kids of Ms Jutins class were talking, playing and laughing when the police man came into the room, asking Ms Jutin to step into the hall, her smile dropping immediately. None of the kids noticed her slip back into the room with her eyes glistening, tears threatening to spill over onto her cheeks.

"Guys, can I have your attention for a minute?" her shaking voice coaxed the children, beckoning their curiosity. They looked up at her and then to each other, trying to figure out what she was about to tell them.

"As you can all tell, one of our bright faces didn't show up this morning, I assumed young Alex was sick..." Her eyes flicked to the small, fragile child that was staring up at her, her mind working furiously to figure out where this was going. Ari had no luck, she decided to stop worrying, nothing would of happened to her Alex.

"Earlier today, Alex was," Ms Jutins voice cracked and shook, "Alex was hit by a car, he died in seconds" She covered her mouth in an attempt to muffle the sobs.

Everyone looked at each other in shock, then at Ari. Her face was losing its glow, her bright eyes dulling, her small mouth opening as the tears spilled from her eyes. Her sobs shook her entire body, leaving her shivering between sobs. She got up and ran out the door, tears blinding her. Older kids looked at her and shrugged, besides one, the boy who babysat Alex and Ari sometimes.

"Ari, calm down sweetie calm down, what's wrong little one, shhhh" Gale cooed softly, kneeling down and brushing her hair from her face.

"Alex, h-he's d-d-dead," Ari sobbed, " Gale he's gone, gone forever." She pulled herself away from a shocked Gale, running for their spot. She paced, clutching a small barbed wire fence, not feeling the sharp drag of the pointed metal against her skin.
