I had to keep running. I couldn't give up. If I did, they would catch me. I wasn't sure how far back they were, but I wasn't going to chance it. I started to let myself believe that it wasn't worth it. What do I really have left to stay for? I should just let them catch me. No! Scarlet, you can't think like that. It's crazy! I got fresh vitality while thinking about them and ran much quicker. At that moment, I had heated a piercing scream. It sounded like someone was in agonizing pain. It never seeme to end. I wasn't sure who -or what for that matter- it came from. But, as always, I was scared. I had almost feints. I paused for a second, out of shock. But as I realized that I became more and more afraid of what was happening around me, I was wasting time for getting ahead. My chasers -whoever they are- probably got startled too! This was my breakthrough. Time passed as I ran through the deep forest. I hadn't heard anymore of the horrendous sound, which I thought was a relief. it must have been an animal or something. As I was running, my legs cramped up, my lungs had started to give up. I decided to stop traveling and to find some sort of shelter. I wondered around slowly until l came across a cave. I concluded that this will have to do for the night. I trudged over to the cave and sat inside of it. I was so exhausted from running, that my eyes started to close. This dream was different. I mean, I usually dream about finding Dakota. But this time I didn't find him, he found me. We were in a very light room. It was almost angelic. He was asking me if I was okay. I didnt reply, I moved my head around slowly like a baby. I was observing the room. He shot me another question, "Scarlet, do you know who I am?" I shook my head no, but murmured under my breath, "Dakota." he looked at me with a grin upon his face. "Scarlet! Love, I missed you!" I didn't answer him. I looked back at him with a disgusted expression. "Darling, what's wrong?" I got up slowly, and ran away. -------------------------------------------- Short update sorry!
