Introduction: I out of the many unlucky souls was born with a curse. I was born with the ability to regenerate and never grow old once I hit adult hood. I bet your thinking, yeah that's not a curse you can live for ever and never have to. Worry about death. Yeah that may be true but remember, every good has a bad. Since I never age, everyone around me will age and soon pass away leaving me behind alone. The world is my prison and I hate the gift I was given. Everyone I love and care will be gone soon and I will be alone forever never to see them again. My name is Griff and this is my story. Lets first start of at the way beginning as I like to call the first year of the first generation. I was 17 living in my village in a small kingdom. I haven't discovered that I had the power to never die yet since I was a book work and stayed at home a lot. It was a lovely summer morning. I could still feel the warmth that hit me through the window. The good days. Like it so far? I'll post chapter 1 soon
Chapter 1: It's was a normal summer day. Mother making dinner, father working as a farmer, my little brother outside playing, and me, well I have my books and my free time. I spent a lot of time reading about adventure or stuff from around the world or just plain stories, you name it i read it. My favorite story is the story of the heavens blade how a hero and the power of a mighty blade saved a falling kingdom. I always dreamed of being a hero and saving a kingdom but why risky your life when you got books and a nice house to live in. As the day went by I herd a knock on the door. My mother answer it and it was neighbor Roxanne. She was kind of like a childhood friend that was more of a body guard for me as a kid. She wanted to be in the knights royal army and she could be too since she has amazing fighting skills and never backs down from a fight. But they won't let her in for one reason, she's a girl. I say that was a bad mistake not letting her in but what could I do, I'm just a peasant. She asked my mother I I was home and I came down to greet her. She asked if we could go for a walk cause she had something important to tell me. I went outside and started to walk with her. Roxanne: Griff, I had to tell someone this and your the only person I could trust. Griff: what is it? Roxanne: I her rumors from some guards that a war might break out over the mines that ate on the outsides of the kingdom. Other kingdoms want it since it has precious metals that they want. Griff: seems kind of dumb fighting over a cave. What are we cave men. Roxanne: griff I'm being serious about this. This may be my chance to prove my self that I can be a royal knight. Griff: well what's your plan then. Roxanne: I want to head out tonight to the mines and ambush the enemy and take then on before our kingdoms army arrive. If I take out there whole army by my self I can prove to them I am capable of being a royal knight. Griff: and why are you telling me this? Roxanne: cause I need a partner to help me and who's the smartest person I know? Griff: wait what? I can't even fight as well as you do. Roxanne: well you are great in magic so you could help me a little but plus I need someone to create a plan once we get there and to watch my back. Griff: I only know basic magic and I can't risk my life like that. Roxanne: please! Griff I need you. Please help me get my dream and ill owe you big time. Griff:....fine. Roxanne: I knew I could count in you. Meet me tonight at the gates of the kingdom and bring supplies such as food and what ever you think you need. Griff: alright... Roxanne: see you tonight! Yeah, I don't know what I got my self into but I know it was all for a friend. As the sun dropped I packed a small pack with fruits and some medicine and bandages just in case. I also took my dads hunter knife just in case. I hopped out my window and went to the city gate to meet Roxanne there. She was waiting there leaning on the wall holding her blade and armored up. All I could say was she better not get us killed. We headed out to the mines to see what kind of enemies where there. I wasn't ready at all to kill a man not even fight a man, but Roxanne need my help and as a friend I couldn't say no to her.
