Eternal Darkness Dreams are more powerful than one might think, they can persuade people to do things, they can cause fear, and they can ultimately kill. Imagine being able to control another human's dreams, the power that you hold in that very moment is limitless. The beings that have this power are called Dream Weavers. Dream Weavers are normally peaceful but 100 years ago a small band of them broke away from the norms of their society, they started using their powers for evil in the attempt of finding what they call The High Templar of Death, or more commonly known by everyone else as The Grim Reaper. This small band of rogue Dream Weavers call themselves Death's Associates and they believe that The Grim Reaper is hidden - well, more like imprisoned - as a mere mortal and the only way to release him is to tap into that mortal's mind, the easiest way to do that? Well just get them while they're asleep and control their dreams. Oh I'm sorry, I haven't introduced myself - I'm Cornelius Star, a detective at the Institute for Supernatural and Magical Beings or ISMB for short. I've worked here for 176 years. 176 years? You may ask, well yes, I'm not exactly human, I'm an advanced alien race from the planet of Aiur that look extremely like humans, apart from our ears, they're pointed. We hold powers that humans dream of, each of us is different though, our powers are decided by an unknown source. I myself can alter reality. Anyway, so for the past 172 years I had just covered small cases like tracking down lost alien children and the like, but 4 years ago I was put on a special case with 3 of my colleagues (You'll meet them later) that concerned these Death's Associates. We heard of their plan and was told to stop them - easier said than done I'm afraid. Anyway, let's go back to the day I was put on the case. 2nd of April, 2008 :- 'Detective Star!' a shout rippled through one of the many hallways of the ISMB 'Where the hell is that buffoon?!' These loud bellows came from Chief Inspector Crimson, a huge man that was capable of crushing a bus in his hand if he really wanted to. His race of people grew to enormous sizes at will, although they're already 9 feet tall normally. 'Yes sir?' I finally answered his rupturing calls for me. 'I can't believe this but the chairman has a special assignment for you and your unit. He's entrusting you with something extremely important, understand?' 'Indefinitely, my unit and I will carry this out so professionally that you'd actually be thankful of my services.' 'Right, well I assume you've heard of Death's Associates?' I nod assuringly 'They need dealing with, they're a huge threat to the human population and the chairman thinks you'll be able to carry this out.' 'Well the chairman is a very clever man, I'll get right to it... Sir' I turn on my heels and my long brown coat follows behind me in a spectacular arc, and walk towards my office to address my unit on our assignment. I walk in and my 3 colleagues sit there tentatively waiting for me to speak. Writer's note: Okay guys, I need 3 people to be my unit so I'm accepting applicants, the template is as follows: Name: Age: Race and background info: Powers: Description on appearance: Any extra info:
