  1. So, this is a new story I came up with, if you want to be in it, just post an application. An example:
    Name: Generic Bob
Power: Genericism and being a ninja.
History: A dude born in Placetown. Has powers and shit. Will save the world and shit.Ninja
Personality: Kind and shit. Smart as fuck and shit. Ninja.
Etc: Ninja. Most generic dood EVAR!! Specialty is being generic. A ninja.

I'll start this story in like, derp, 30 minutes from now.

  2. Did I mention he's a ninja?

  3. No I don't think you did

  4. I should really emphasize that next time. Generic Bob is one of my favorite characters. Not as much as Whiskey Pete.

  5. Really? You didn't mention him....

  6. This story features one of my favorite characters, Samuel Portman. Some of you may remember him. Some may not. Anyway, this is basically another story revolving around him. Enjoy.

    "I need to get out..."
    "From where?"
    "Here..."
    "Where to?"
"Anywhere... I just want you out"
"Now that's not nice. I've kept you alive all this time and suddenly you want to get rid of me?"
"Yes! You're nothing but a curse! You and this damned sword! ... I thought if he was dead you'd die with him..."
"Well, that's not the case is it? You see, it's not as simple as that. You already know who I am. You still remember my name?"
    "..."
    "Say it..."
    "..."
    "SAY IT!!!"
"Erebus. My other self. My hatred and rage- no- the world's hatred and rage, their misery, their gloom taken form... You're the shadow. You're..."
    "Yes..."
    "You're me..."
"That's right. I am Erebus. You're Samuel. Sammy. My little boy. We're one now. If you want to get rid of me, you know what you must do. But you'll never do that."
"... Where are we going now?"
    "Anywhere. That's what you said."
"Yes, let's get out of here. Too many memories. And not the ones I want."
The young man stood up from where he sat on desolate rock and looked away from the pool of blood that carried his reflection.
"I really need to stop talking to myself" he laughed as he slowly walked away from the smoldering bastion that once served as his and his past lords home. Ashes, dead trees, pools of blood. This was all to familiar to him. As he walked away from what was once his home he attempted to remember the name of his hometown. To get back to where it all began. Where he met the now vanquished Apoc, whom he believed that by killing would earn him back his normal human life, and where he planned to start life anew. But one thing still bothered him. What awaited him there? He couldn't remember. By now his mother and father would've probably died? A girl? Yes, that had to be it. Right? No, he thought. It had to be something else.
"It's probably not important" he shrugged "I'll just start a new life. A peaceful one. I'm tired of killing. I'm done with that..."

  7. Chewwwwwy 

    Good so far.
    Moarz.

  8. He walked on for a while, before finding the exit from the area. He remembered the place was magically sealed. But how could that be? The owners were dead? Then he remembered, he now owned the place. He killed, slaughtered, and had proven strong many a time, and the bastion had known and seen it all. It accepted him as it's new king. Eventually the fortress would rebuild itself, and it's guards would rise back from the dead and the hellish army that served under their old leader, Apoc, would abandon him and raise a new banner of war. What was Samuel to do? One year. He could conquer, fulfill his duty as lord of that cursed fortress of demise known as Tartarus, or go against it and destroy it now. Bur neither would be an option for him. Not with the new life he wanted. He abandoned that. He set up a new goal. Meet a girl, get married, have kids, die. A typical life. Whether he was happy or not did not matter.
As he passed through the portal, he saw something unexpected. The entire city police force.
    "Fuck.."

  9. "Samuel Portman!! You are under arrest for the slaughtering of innocents! We will not hesitate to open fire!!" yelled the chief.
"Chief! Is this wise I mean, this guy is on of those guys..."
"Don't worry, he's tired. Look at him, his arms busted up, he's bleeding from the head! He's torn up! We got him while he's down!"
"... Just let me go. I don't want any trouble."
"We understand! You're tired, there's no more need for bloodshed! Just come along quietly, and this will all go by quickly!"
"... I understand." said Samuel. He lifted his sword, and handed it to the chief. Left himself by cuffed and thrown in the back.

-On the way to the prison

Cop A: Man, can you believe this guy? Kills an entire village, burns down a city, kills all his former comrades, and all of a sudden, boom, just turns himself!
Y' know you're probably gonna get the noose, right?"
Cop B: Hey, shush! Can't you see he's tired. Look at him! His eyes! Those aren't the eyes of a killer! Those are the eyes of a crying pup! Poor guy, probably regrets what he did. Ain't that right?
Cop B: Pshh, this guy was probably an actor back in his younger days. Once a killer, always a killer! I'm gonna tell you one thing Mr. Portman, that day they hang you, I'll be there in the audience. Laughing.
    Samuel: ... I'm sorry.

    -At the prison
Samuel: Am I really getting the noose?
    Cop B: ... I'm sorry...
Samuel: WHAT!! You can't!! That's not just! I want a knew life! A new start! I want my life back! Eight years of my life gone in there and two more in this same cell! That's ten years!
    Cop B:... (He walks away)
Samuel: Don't leave me!! Get back here!!
Cop B: Relax. I'm just getting the keys. I'm gonna let you out.
Samuel: What!? Oh, dear God, thank you!!
Cop B: Everyone deserves a second chance. Besides, everything that made you a killer is sealed up. That freaky sword, your magic. Sealed up. Well, your sword is over there in the vault, but I'm afraid I can't let you have it back. Your magic should come back to you in about a day or so. It's a waste to just not use it. Maybe you'll find a new use for it. (Opens doors) Now come on, get out before I change my mind.
Samuel: Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!! (jumps out the window)

  10. More tomorrow. Maybe.

  11. All I can think of is Erebus the giant haunted house in Pontiac, MI...

I think I went on the last day a few years ago, and was in a group of the last people. One of the guys at the end had gotten bored and taken off his mask. As we approached he held it up and shook it at us saying "ooga booga, I'ma scary face. Gonna eat'chu with mah scary face," and we all burst out laughing.

     was an interesting experience.

  12. Samuel ran out, his sword, Nyx, gone. He managed to escape the town after the sirens began to sound. He looked back from the hill he stood on. He wondered if after all this, he really would be able to relive life.
But that wasn't important, he quickly went back to running, his regenerative abilities allowed his arm to heal and for him to stop bleeding, but his face was still dirty and his clothes still torn.
He finally made it far enough to rest. The area was quiet. He began to remember what happened. His fight with Apoc. That's when his power, Erebus, showed itself to him in physical form. He remembered Apoc's Thanatos and his Second-in-Command's Moriae. Where their powers also alive? Their's were more powerful, well, faster than his. Thanatos' power was similar to Erebus', both being advanced forms of darkness magic, but Moriae was different. It was power over fate. How was that possible? And more importantly, was she still alive? Apoc was killed by Samuel's former rival, now presumed dead. But, the other one, she just vanished...
Samuel remembered the final conversation he had with her. Concerning how he could free himself from Erebus. She said to him, "In order to get rid of Erebus, find the one that possesses Helel magic. He should know how."
That's where he had to start. But first, rest. The night sky was beginning to fall.

  13. -The next day.
With Erebus now back, he was able to mend back his clothes. It wasn't a very wise use, but it helped him.
    ...
He sniffed around. Smoke? Where? He ran towards the where the smoke scent came from, it wasn't too far. He ran, and ran, the scent getting stronger and the sky turning black as he neared the source. A small village was caught ablaze! He dashed inside asking what happened. An older man came towards him grabbed him
"What are you doing here! The nephilim are here! Run boy, run!"
"Nephilim?" he said. He remembered having fought one before. Giants, sons of the fallen angels. Half man and half angel. Their monstrous height and muscular build made them strong and a horror to see. Brandishing large steal blades and some were still capable of flight, but their human blood drastically weakened their ability to cast magic. Magic wasn't very common to humans. Magic takes years to master, and often it was a skill reserved to prodigies or those that had the power inside them, such as Samuel. Firearms allowed for faster training of troops and had subsequently replaced magic as a tool of war. Unfortunately, nephililm were impervious to firearms, being only damaged by heavy casters.
"... Step back." said Samuel, pushing the old man back, "Tell me, where are the Nephilim?"
"Are you crazy? They're over there, what are you gonna do?!"
He said nothing. He just walked toward the giants. One wildly swinging a hammer, another spewing fire.
"At least that explains the smoke..."
The hammer wielding one noticed Samuel. He was the bigger of the two. Being around 15 feet in height and weighing at least 500 pounds of pure muscle. His hair was kept untidy, and was very obvious that neither of the two had bathed. The hammer wielder only possessed one eye and was missing teeth, the few that remained were like those of a rusted and over-worked saw, brown and crooked. The smaller one, around 13 feet weighing around 400 pounds, was much leaner, and wore armor. He had a complete set of eyes but no teeth, his gums had apparently fallen to gingivitis or scurvy. It was apparent that both were omnivorous in nature, but refused to eat anything less than human flesh.
"LoOK, BroTHeR! A FanCY HuMAn! WHaT YoU SUppOse wE dO wIT Em?" the one eyed one said.
"Va, eRth BrathU?" said the toothless one
"SHoOd, We TAkE Em wiT Us?"
"VhA, Hid maTHtA thAY?! He ThaId ho Heave nO MAhiCk UtherS AhIve! I can Thense MaHIck in HeM!"
The toothless one took a swig of his bottle and began to spit it at Samuel, the liquid catching on fire as it exited. Suddenly, a black vortex began to form around Samuel, swallowing up the flames and sending them back to the smaller, toothless giant. The giant caught ablaze.
"HAAAAAHH!! DONTH HUST THTAND THAR!! HILL HEM!! HEP MEH AND HILL HEM!!"
    "VHICH ONE!!"
"Dear lord, you two are so annoying! You two take pleasure in the lives of others, and for that, you both die!" Samuel sent forth a series of claws from his shadow, grabbing the smaller of the two, consuming him and crushing him. A rain of blood descended from the sky upon releasing him. His body, a dried up compacted hunk of crushed tissue and bone fell from the heavens. Giant blades began to hook at the larger of the two.
"Now, your buddy said something about a "master." Who is he?"
"MASTUH HERER!! HERER! HE PUT UTH UP TO THIS!! PLEASE! LET ME GO!!"
    "Thank you..."
The blades cut deep into the giants flesh, eventually cutting it's buddy into large chunks of bleeding bone and meat.
"Herer?... He must mean Helel.... Guess he's near here somewhere..."

  14. "... I used to be nicer... What happened to me?" said Samuel to himself, sitting on a hill that overlooked the burned down village.
"We really did a number on you didn't we?" said a woman, who seemingly appeared from nowhere.
"Who are you?! And where did you come from?!" yelled Sam, eyes wide open as if having seen a ghost.
"You don't remember? It's me. Ninz?"
    "PSYCHOBI-er Ninz!"
"... yes, Ninz. But call me Ninny now. So sire, what are you doing away from your castle?"
"That place was a little-wait, what? Sire?"
"Yes, is there something wrong with that?"
"Well, no [it's kinda hot], but what are you doing here?"
"If you must know, Tartarus and I are both bound to our master. And that's you." she says with an overly happy smile.
    "... Keep going"
"You see, I'm not human. Or living for that matter. I'm a creation of Apoc. See, he intended to rule over the world, cliché'd I know, and intended to have his lineage rule for years to come. The world would've been set ablaze, darkness would reign, the blood of innocents would've been shed and so on and so forth."
    "Mhmm"
"So, he created me as a servant. My sole purpose in life is to serve, protect, kill, and die for my master. And that is now you my lord!" all this, she said, with a face of child like innocence mixed with the patriotism of a military official.
[... This has to be a joke] thought Samuel.
"And before I forget, the local peasantry has somehow taken possession of your companion Nyx, so I took the liberty of slaughtering the locals and ascertaining your sword back." she said, handing him a half-way serrated saber.
    "WHAT THE HELL!?!" he yells.
"I'm sorry, I would've gotten it back sooner, but it just seemed as if Nyx needed some modifications"
"THAT'S NOT THE POINT!! YOU JUST DON'T GO AROUND KILLING PEOPLE!!"
"Are you not happy with the new look?"
NO!! Well, yes, actually, it's a lot... Bigger. Much cooler"
Nyx, originally being a long-thin rapier was much different, with very little decor. The new version was much shorter and heavier and the lower half of the blade was serrated, the other was mainly designed to cut. The black moon hand guard design remained but now seemed to have spikes.
"I'm glad you like it, and I'm sorry that I previously displeased you"
"Don't-don't worry about it. We'll talk about this later..."
