As you may or may not know, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Ecuador earlier today. So far, 233 people have been killed and the toll is rising. I understand that PIMD is a means of escape so it's best to avoid such bleak topics but I know PIMD is capable of charity and people love to help out if they can. I'm just hoping maybe the developers can come up with something to help the victims even a little.
Or...you can provide a link and we can donate like that. As long as the thread keeps getting bumped people will see it.
it's a third world country, no one will hear or care about it , after all you are not france or belgium
Typical comment. If people are interested in world affairs they'll find and hear about things. It's just that people these days are selfish, they only 'cared' about those countries so they could get away with posting another selfie on a certain social network site with the countries colours. Apart from that they didn't care.
Red Cross Donation is ideal since they are already there. I just sent out a bunch of items to my family over there to disperse where they can. Hope if anyone else that has family there that they are found to be safe, there's definitely going to be a lot more damage coming soon.
I understand your point but if we stop bringing some kind of awareness or asking for help then no one will ever know that there are these other countries beyond france or belgium that need help. Also, we have to remember that this isn't about nationality but humanity. To do what we can and stand together against our common struggles.
I can give tons of examples about how crisis in third world countries get ignored while media will be shedding light on the sad loss of a lady breaking her nail but I will leave seaech part for you to satisfy your curiosity
Remember when ata gave charity for the Philippines when it got hit by typhoon haiyan? The money from the dns bought by players was donated to them. It's also a third world country. This is also a chance for hundreds of pimd couch potatos who cannot directly donate to Ecuador to help those people. Little help countsī
