DON'T report an issue to a moderator without stating where evidence can be found. For example, posting 'Player_name threatened my friend' isn't helpful. I will simply ask you if there is any evidence. However, posting 'Player_name threatened my friend on Other_player's wall' means that I can quickly silence them without having to hassle you for further information. DON'T post 'In before lock' on inappropriate forum threads. I've seen this happening a lot and it absolutely has to stop. We lock threads rather than delete them so that they aren't in active topics yet can still be accessed. By posting 'In before lock', you are bumping the thread further up the active topics. Depending on the content of the thread, this could mean you are exposing more players to unsuitable material. Please stop doing this. It is much better to wall a moderator and to let them know that there is an inappropriate thread than to repeatedly post 'In before lock'. DO help us out! If you see a player break the Terms Of Use on campus chat or elsewhere then please take a screenshot (Power and Home button pressed together) and post in the 'Pimd mods contact' group on Palringo. Moderators check this group throughout the day and thus any screenshots you post will be acted on. There is one other way that you can help us. If you come across any clubs or players that have inappropriate names then please keep a list of these. If a player has a name that features content that is prohibited by the Terms Of Use then support will want to change this. Similarly, many clubs have inappropriate names or descriptions. It would be really helpful if you keep a list of these on Notes and email them through to support@athinkingape.com once you have 10 or so. Please state what game they originate from in the email. We are particularly interested in finding clubs that promote sexting as these are most dangerous. Please help as much as you can as it improves the community for all of us (as well as increasing your chance of becoming a mod) DON'T report something without first reading the Terms Of Use. I get a lot of wall posts saying that a player is being nasty. This is not silenceable behaviour. Please ensure you have located exactly what rule the player has broken as it makes it much easier for us to silence them. DON'T make a complaint thread as soon as you are silenced. The vast majority of these are unhelpful and disruptive. It is far better to either email support@athinkingape.com enquiring as to the reasoning behind your silence, or to contact a moderator directly once your silence has expired to ask clarification on a rule. Posting in forums will only create arguments. And finally DON'T use homophobic, racist, discriminatory or sexist language. This will lead to you being silenced. Using words like 'gay' as an insult is not acceptable, claiming that it is everyday language is not a valid excuse. There are many different types of players on Pimd, and abusive language has no place here. Thank you for reading
Nice Though the part about having a better chance of being a mod if you report alot of violations seems unfair
