I awoke in my bed with a gasp. I was disorientated as I yawned and rubbed my eyes, trying to get my eyes to adjust to the pitch black. I looked around, feeling a strange sensation of being watched as outlines of furniture started to show up. My eyes rested in the area my closet was and my mind started filling with images of monsters and creepy things. I was frozen with fear, unable to reach out to turn on the light cause something might grab me and to run out of my room because it was right beside my closet. My heart skipped a beat as something made a noise. It came from the closet. I was about to reach out to turn on the light when I felt my bed sag with new weight. My eyes couldn't see anything within a feet of my vision and I slowly felt out my lamp, scared to make any noise. As the light blinded my vision I frantically rolled out of bed, reaching for a weapon as my vision went clear. There was nothing there. My heart was beating a million miles a minute as I looked around, a heavy picture frame now in hand. I went to the closet and flew the doors open. Again, nothing. I dropped the frame and crawled back into bed, then I started crying. I turned out the light and forced myself to try to sleep, hoping my mental breakdown will be forgotten by tomorrow. I relaxed after ten minutes and gave in to sleep.
