The second pimd rap competition is here! The last rap competition ended yesterday and went very well but I would like to improve this competition and make it even better. The previous rap competition you could rap about anything but this time you have to rap about pimd so we will see who can do the best pimd rap. Here are the rules: 1. The rap must be about pimd 2. The rap has to be 200 words or less 3. You cannot cuss in the rap or say anything against the ToU 4. The winner gets nothing Raps will be submitted to me through pm. If you would like to sign up for this competition then I want you to wall me saying that you are signing up, post on this topic that you are signing up, and then follow me so that you can submit your rap to me when you are ready. If your rap breaks any of the rules then I will let you know and you can fix it and re-send it to me. If you send me a rap but then come up with a better rap, you can send that one to me and I'll let you use that one. You will probably have 4-7 days to send me your rap. I will post and pm the deadline to everyone (at least two days in advance) as the competition moves along. I do not have a deadline right now because I want to make sure there are enough people signed up first. I will probably leave the judging open to the public as opposed to using judges this time. In the previous competition I had 5 judges and only two sent scores so the publics voted were more significant. If you sign up for the competition then I also have a few questions here that I would like to ask you. You may answer all of the questions, just some of them, or none of them. 1. Would you like judges or would you like the public alone to determine the winner? Or both? 2. Do you want all of the rapper's names to be anonymous like last time or would you prefer to have them displayed? If names are anonymous, then the real names would be posted when results are posted. 3. Was there anything about the previous competition that you didn't like? 4. Do you have any additional suggestions about this tournament? The current plan is to have the public do the judging and not have the raps anonymous but I am asking the questions above to see what people want, not what I want. I'll sign up I like both judges and public Perhaps check to make sure people don't sway voting for public (same clubs,ca announcements) Maybe something small like a gift for winner ( jus as something) KEEP NAMES ANONYMOUS!! Maybe a 3rd and rappers who they think would be best ( besides self) and name it rappers choice. 1st place winner--Drop volley to a certain amount? Thanks guys keep your opinions coming. It seems like anonymous will be a good idea again. As far as judging etc, maybe a few more people will give their opinion on that in time. The previous competition, I had the judges give scores and the public voted as well. Since there were only two judges that voted, I added the judges scores with the total votes to determine the winners. The judges gave scores 1-10.
I think the public should vote, but the judges choice should make the final decision. The names should be kept anonymous to prevent favoritism... Friends will vote for friends whether their rap was good or not. And if you want to be fairly voted for you won't tell your friends which rap was yours...
I found that people still knew which rap was mine when it was anonymous lol I can see why anonymous would be better than non-anonymous. There is still the chance people will pm their friends which rap is there's and ask for a vote but I cant do anything about that. Perhaps judges would be somewhat advantageous in that regard to rule out any raps of poor syntax that seem to have an unusually high amount of public votes. I don't think I'll participate in this competition cause I already wrote a pimd rap and posted it to forums a while ago
