Try the butterfly method. Everytime you feel like cutting draw a butterfly on your arm. If you cut, you kill all of the butterflies on that arm. It worked for my friend.
You can also try the rubber band, that's what I always suggest. Wear a tight rubberband on your wrist. When you get the urge to cut, snap it a few times. That's how I quit.
I used a different method. It was called the Guilty Method. Everytime you have an urge to cut, you think of extremely sad things that would affect your family if you cut yourself. :0 It works for me. ._.
