We believe that the best way for players to learn is from other players (hey, we were all noobs once, right?). While written guides are great, we think they could be much more exciting! That’s why we’re holding a new contest to see who can create..... the best VIDEO GUIDE TO PIMD! And we’re giving away massive prizes! PRIZES 1ST PLACE PRIZES 10 x Hypnocats 10 x Pizza Bikinis 1,000 EC 100 DNs Your choice of any existing avatar RUNNER-UPS PRIZES (5 WINNERS) 3 x Hypnocats 3 x Pizza Bikinis 100 EC 10 DNs REQUIREMENTS Your video can be anything you want – a song, an animation, sock puppets, you talking, you playing the game. Whatever! However, it must: Be a video Help out new players some way (general overview of the game, how to find a club, how to war, how to farm, how to use tutors etc) Be free of profanity, nudity or any other unpleasantness. Be factual and accurate JUDGING CRITERIA The PIMD team here at A Thinking Ape will be judging all entries on the following criteria: How clear, accurate and useful it is to new players How enjoyable it is to watch (bonus points for making us laugh!) Length (we think 3-5 minutes is optimal) Don’t worry if you don’t have access to an amazing camera. Webcam or cellphone footage, as long as it’s clear, will not be marked down. HOW TO SUBMIT To submit, all you need to do is upload your video to YouTube (making sure it’s public) and then paste the link in to this thread by October 28. (You'll need to visit the link from a PC as the Kit is contained in a ZIP file) FAQS 1. Can more than one person work on the same video? While you can work together, the prizes will only be awarded to the player that actually submits the video link. The prizes will not be divided up among multiple people. You could however, work together, give credit in the video and agree on your own terms to spend a certain amount of the EC prize on those who helped you win. 2. When you say ANY avatar, what does that mean? Any avatar that has been in PIMD since the beginning of the game. This includes the April Fool's Kaw-Girl avatar with no stats. As for stat change requests, the avatar will be as is, we won't be changing stats, art or descriptions for the winner. We'll post a thread listing all available avatars close to the end of contest. 3. Can I submit more than 1 entry? Yes! More than one entry per person is allowed, though you will only be able to win one of the prize packs if your videos are chosen. 4. Can I submit my video link via email or feedback? No, all entries must be posted to this thread. This makes it obvious who submitted the video and lets everyone view it freely. 5. What about the rule about posting outside links? As long as the link is on topic and does not break our other rules, it is ok to post outside links, as per the forum tou: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=78361 External Links and Third Party Products Providing links to external websites is permitted as long as they are relevant to the topic being discussed. However, linking to content that violates the Forum Code of Conduct as well as links to referral programs, “free product” offers, links that can be considered advertising, and the like are prohibited. Please use your discretion when posting links. Links to third-party games and applications not created by A Thinking Ape are also prohibited. No faces necessary. You could use art from forum posts from PIMD and slide them around while you talk if you'd like. You could just have floating text explaining things, with epic rock ballads in the background. Whatever you can do to get your important information across.
Yeah, as long as you get it exported into video format and uploaded to Youtube, we don't care how you make it
