Soo, Hi. I have been playing PIMD since I was 14. I remember I liked to think that I was playing “illegally”. For 3 years, whenever someone asked me my age, I used to say 18. I was so scared of being banned from my most favourite game. I remember I used to be so active, that instead of studying for my exams I would hide my iPod in my books and farm inactives every 5 mins. My pattern used to be 2-1-2 because at that time, you’d get the most plunder on the first hit and it would deteriorate after that. When I was not farming, I would scour through pages and pages of tutors to hire them and increase my TB so I could be stronger in war. And during wars? Oh! Our wars used to start at night and I remember I would be up all night warring and farming cows, most of the wars would be ff after 12 hours and the next day I’d sleep all day. Recovering from my cumbersome war. And while there were wars that were like this, there also used to be fun wars. Wedding Wars and BoS. Users would change their names, try to fool the opponent, they would retaliate - all in good fun. Clubs, they were beautiful. I have not been a part of many clubs because I mostly stayed in a club for a long time. There was a sense of community, and it used to be so beautiful. A sense of camaraderie. I made many friends in clubs, people whose lives I actually got involved in. I even found a lover in one of the clubs (LOL how lifeless was I? That turned out to be extremely bad btw) Club tags were used to pledge your allegiance to a club. I remember lurking on campus chats and seeing members of opposite clubs fighting. They were fighting, but it used to be so cute. Club members used to work hard to upgrade so that their club rank would increase. I still remember the first time parties were introduced, clubs took it up but they never paid that well so most people resumed PWARS or farming inactives. Then came the PROS. They used to pay almost as much as lcbc and it was much easier to unload on them. But clubs needed to be super active to be able to complete a pro, clubs disbanded. Party clubs became the norm, and most players were mercs. Then came Cat Cafe. and I don’t think I need to say what happened after that. b2b CC, FCC, and now the newest one is Pure CC, I think. Till b2b CC, I was fine, I would buy cats through ts, Then ata removed that as well. I hear now, a cat is for one bento!? What?! The spinner is a joke, parties now have robots clicking on the same button. There are dorm rooms now, well ofcourse. I mean even graphic designers can only design a certain amount of avatars right? All these keys and what not “surprises” that give out stuff at “random” is not random at all. And I get it, ok? I get it. You need to earn money as well, you also need to keep yourself updated with the latest iphone and have yum donuts in your office and green beer (yes, i follow your snapchat). And what better way to earn money but to take people’s real hard earned money and exchange it for made up numbers you literally just throw on their mobile screens. It’s perfect. I get that you’re a business, I swear, I do. But from a business point of view, isn't it as important to get new users as well as increase volume sales? Most of the new users now are alts, and if someone does manage to download the app, they’re completely lost at the amount of different things they have to do now. But I guess you’d rather lose several non-paying users and put features where a single user dishes out a 1000$ more. You’re a business and I get it. I know what you must be thinking, “If you don't like the game just quit it” But what about users like me? I’m going to turn 21 soon and that means that I have devoted more than 6 years of my life to this community. I refuse to call it a game, because it is not anymore. 6 years of sleepless nights, I have even had nightmares of PIMD (When I logged on someone stole all my tutors and farmed me till I had nothing left) but I have even had dreams (Once I dreamt that I was earning so much that I was no.1 on VIP lol) 6 years, I don't know god knows how may devices I have downloaded this on. 6 years and so much energy devoted, sweat and blood. And now I just have to give up? Because exchange rates are at an all time high, I don’t earn in dollars. 6 years and I have to give up now because I can’t buy a frigging cat. You’re a business and I get it. I guess, that is why I’m giving up now. There’s nothing I can do now, and I guess that is why I am writing this post. I know I can’t change anything, I can’t change your mind and I also understand that right now, I’m probably in the minority. But you’re a business and I get it. As I had to choose a forum to post it on, the only title that fits was "Off Topic". Ironic. RIP : To my memories of PIMD. It was a sweet time.
I didn't read the whole thing but the last sentence sounds like you had a great time here and quit. HAVE A GREAT LIFE AHEAD OF YOU AND DON'T FORGET ME ??tbh like how can you forget KylieJenner like legitimate not possible
From sleepless nights to robotic finger movements on parties, we got a lovely insight as to how PIMD has evolved over the years. Thank you for putting your time and effort into writing this thread, to share with everyone else. However, all good things must come to an end, I guess. And, this is the way I see PIMD is heading towards.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but cats cost a lot more than 1 Bento. If you're quitting can I have chibis.. I need to make Bentos ?.
Questionnn. Why did you carry on playing PIMD after a year? Was it the numerous interactions you made with people around the world, the hunts, the wars or was it something else?
I think I can kinda relate to what you're saying here. I started pimd more than 4 years ago, but left halfway thru. Came back again just recently and oh boy, what a cultural shock. It was indeed nicer back then, with a nicer community. And it was way easier to make friends who you can play the game with. Ah but yea, oh well. I guess change is inevitable.
Yep Yep Yep good recap of days gone by. Now I hope you dream that you gave me all your giftable items and then awake to find yourself doing just that. Ha ?
sounds like ata just had a overhaul a few years back and decided to revamp their apps :? i wonder if GAW survived if it would've turned the same way? nice story OP
