So I had this thought out of the clear blue.. I think I want to go to college. I never thought i'd utter those words a day in my life but I think I want to.. I want to live on campass too. Thing is i've been out of high school for almost 3 yrs now and im in a relationship. Im thinking going back to school would be really hard because I have to get back to that whole lifestyle of studying, homework, tests, reports ugh.. then im not good at long distant relationships.. =( what should I do??
I know that but should I go away to college and leave my boyfriend or should I stay in the city and do like a trade school?.. hmm maybe I can go to college right outside of my hometown so i'd still be able to see my bf.. Idk.. Ugh school is gonna be so hard
Why are you even tailoring your life around your boyfriend? Seriously, I honestly doubt that he'd be this considerate with you when he's planning his future. Word of advice: do what you want FOR YOU. Don't tailor your life around for someone who you don't even know if they'll be there. You'll regret it one way or another.
I disagree with Des. Sometimes you find someone who actually would tailor their life for you. Bc when you find someone you love and you wanna be with, you do consider them in decisions. My advice would be to make a list of the pros and cons. Decide what means the most to you and base your decision off of that

Well, my (now ex) girlfriend left to college on September. A month ago. It ruined our relationship. I broke up with her so she could enjoy her college life cuz that's what she wanted. All she talked about. Wanted to take me with her and study abroad and stuff. Before college she wanted to marry me like at 22-ish. 3 weeks into college, she didnt want to anymore. said college changed her perspective and stuff. And so she wanted to do all that extra stuff. And I couldnt. So I didnt want to take those experiences from her. So I broke up with her. And now she can enjoy it
You don't have to live on campus. You can actually stay close to him, there are many colleges around, I don't see why you have to loose one thing to get the other. There are also online college coursework you can take at home nowadays. Personally I wouldn't give up getting an education for a boyfriend; I understand you love him but I don't see why you can't have both...
