Authors Note--This is based off of a really odd dream I had last nightI hope you like the first chapter! Chapter 1-1976 We arrived in Wolfville shortly after 4 in the afternoon. The sun was gleaming down on my shoulders, giving a warm touch. The wind in the background swarmed through my hair. I felt good, in general. Being here gives that effect to me. It was home. We approached Dave, my relative as we walked the stoop. He greeted me with a large embrace as I set my bag down. "Davey!" I smiled. "Rose!" He smiled once again. "The family has missed you so! How have you been?" Aunt Pam walked past us and I smiled, a true smile. The days in Wolfville went like that. We were so happy to see everybody that there was no time to be negative. Davey, being closer to my age, was my best friend around here. "Oh it's been fantastic! How has school been? How about Auntie June and Uncle Michael?"I spoke glaring through the window. Mother and Aunt June talking at the dinner table. Dave tapped on my shoulder, and I quickly jerked my head back towards him. He wanted my attention. "Father is still sick in bed, can't even get up to eat. Mother has to take a cart up so he can eat." "And your mother?" I looked down on the surface of the porch. I could tell by the space in his words that he didn't know how to answer that. He had been crying before, puffy eyes gave it away. He let out a tear, and gave me a sad smile. I hugged him again and picked up my bag. "C'mon Davey, let's head in." Dave ran ahead, clumping his shoes against the hard, solid wood. I ran my fastest, with the large case I had to drag. A moment of hesitation, we walked in through the kitchen door. The floor, marble. The walls, a shade of light blue with chips near the bottom. I smiled towards Aunt June; "It seems that every time I'm here, this kitchen decreases." I hugged her. It felt good to hug her. I wanted to stay like this but I knew the time was soon. Obviously it couldn't come soon enough. "Oh, Rose." She cried of happiness. "How has the long year been?" She tugged my shoulders. He pale face. The green eyes, the thin lips. The brown hair. The round cheeks. Aunt June hadn't changed since last year. A year too long. "Great. Just great. A year too long." "Good to hear Rose"She sat back down with mother. "Mother.." Davey shyly interrupted. "Can me and Rose go play out doors? We'll be back before dinner, promise." June took a second to acknowledge that her son had spoke, like it hadn't registered in her brain yet. She glared toward Dave and nodded. I backed up and followed Dave out, taking two steps at a time. I knew what was next. What we had been working on for 6 years, since we were only 10 and 11 years old. The village. "Has it been holding up?" I asked grinning. "Its looking great. No weather damage. At all." "How much have you accomplished?" "Not a lot. But I found something that is going to change everything." We walked farther in the woods filled with curiosity. I wanted so bad to see. As we neared closer to the mid forest, I could see our cart of a village. The beautiful red village. Dave ran towards the wheel and brought back a scroll. I furrowed my eye brows to see what he was so excited about... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> and that is the end! I hope you all liked it, and I have more in mind for the next chapter. If you liked it I can get my next chapter out tonight
