I stared up at the sky through my glass ceiling. The sun was blinding. I squinted just to make out a cloud. It was Tuesday, December 18th, a week from Christmas. We were flying up to New York Friday to see the rest of the family. I had been packing the whole week. Which was two days. Whatever. I watched as the sun slowly made its way down to the horizon. I turned on my side to see it set through my glass wall. My entire room was glass. They had replaced the walls when I was 4, so I couldn't rememer why I had wanted it that way. It was all a blur. All I remember was I threw a tantrum. Typical me. Tell me what you think, I am taking 5-10 characters. I'll tell the plot in a sec.
Maybe 20 for some cousins. Anyway, here's the plot: A girl and her family go to New York for Christmas but end up getting stuck in a hotel because of a blizzard that lasts several weeks. She meets a couple of people in the hotel who keep her company and help her stay in reality, as she needs the sun to keep her personality warm and kind. Without the sun, she becomes a cold, heartless girl with no respect. Need about 10 hotel guests and maybe 10 cousins.
I got up and started packing a little bit more. It helped me relieve of stress. Sometimes i would worry what would happen if the sun disappeared. I shivered. Bad things, probably. I didn't worry during the night though, because I knew the sun would come up soon. I packed some more. "Alison, dinner's ready!" I walked down the hallway and took a right into our kitchen. Mom was cooking spaghetti. I love spaghetti. I love anything italian. Mm.
After dinner, I walked back to my room. I felt happier again. (Read plot to understand why she feels sad and happy) I packed a few more clothes. I went to my desk. I found a piece of paper and a pencil and started drawing. About an hour later, I had drawn a beautiful meadow with sun shining, a gentle breeze, and smiling faces. I wanted to be in that meadow someday. I wish I was in a place where the sun shined. All the time. Night or day. My world would then be filled with happiness.
I climbed into bed with a smile on my face. Someday, I will be in that meadow. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Rise and shine, Ali!" Dad called down the hall. "Coming." I mumbled. I got dressed and sleepily walked down the hall. "There's my girl!" Dad said and gave me a warm hug. (No seriously he's like a human microwave) I hugged him back with little effort because my arms were still numb. I poured some milk into my cereal and went back in my room to eat. I looked up at my drawing. I got up and took a pen and wrote "Dream Meadow." This was my dream meadow. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That day after school I had slung three bookbags and punched five walls. Nothing good ever happened when there wasn't any real sun shining on me for more than an hour. I went crazy.
I went in my room and tried to calm down. If I'd had been in there an hour longer i'd doubt there'd be teachers. I relaxed a closed my eyes and eventually fell asleep. /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ "Alison? Alison, wake up dear. Dinner is ready." It was already dinner time? Wow. Must've fallen asleep. /: I got up and walked down the hall. Tonight we were having fish. Ehh... After dinner I walked back in my room. I pulled the covers back and got in and fell sound asleep. -short. cant think.-

Morning I woke up to the sound of birds chirping. "I forgot my walls were soundproof..." I looked around and saw that my door to go outside was cracked open. Huh. I walked over to it and closed it. My stomach rumbled. I walked down the hall and got something to eat. ()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()() That afternoon, a group of kids were running away and even bullies were retreating from me. I wouldn't blame them. I slammed a guy down on the concrete and gave him a bloody nose. Then I busted his lip. I didn't mean to. But of course everyone thought I did. My life was so complicated. I hung my head and stepped on the bus. Of course no one wanted me to sit by them. I sat way in the back and rested my head on the window. I tried to keep it back, but somehow a lone tear rolled down my cheek.
I got off the bus and ran to the house. I didn't even say hi to Mom. She didn't care. She was watching 48 Hours. (cop show) I threw my bookbag down and sobbed into my pillow. ________________________________ "She's asleep" I heard someone say. I lifted my head. "Mom? Dad?" Mom stepped into the moonlight. "Oh hey Mom." "Goodnight dear." She kissed my head then scurried off. I went back to sleep. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I woke up due to high number of energy. The sun was peeking over the horizon. I got up and went to get something to eat then packed the rest of my clothes. We were leaving today. I went and woke up Mom and Dad. "Oh that's right, today we're leaving."
