Ok, so, as many of you may have heard, Marvel has decided to make Captain America having always been Hydra. I hate it, lots of other people hate it, because it's cheap writing and overall offensive to Cap's character development for 75 years. For those 75 years he has been a symbol of American hope and has always stood up for what was right. Second, his creators were Jewish-American and created Cap as a symbol during WW2 to combat those Nazi forces of evil. Heck, I think it was the first(?) Issue ever of Captain America, he was punching the leader of the Nazis straight in the face. This is just simply against everything Captain America stands and has ever stood for, and I encourage anyone who has planned on buying the issues to kindly not. I would like to hear you guys' opinions, though, is there anyone that actually AGREES with this choice other than Marvel?
Um. I agree. But at the same time I feel like the history has become irrelevant. Hopefully he's remembered for his classical context rather than their newer adaptations.
I'd say it's a lapse in their judgement and the success of the franchise isn't worth its integrity/consistency. Then again. Who cares anymore? Is the symbol of captain american influential at all now?
I hate marvel because they make cassie lang dead in young avenger issue...it is so unfair....btw Hulking and Wiccan!!!!!!!! MY OTP couple
Well, to many kids and people who grew up looking up to him as kids, he probably had a lot of influence. The original comics that many kids read gave one of my friends the inspiration to stand up against his bullies, probably did the same for others.
Due to the recent movie that came out, I hate Captain America so eh could care less of the character now.
Yikes. Not cool. Everytime people hate something there's always those edgy teens™ who send death threats, making anyone else who hates said thing look stupid.
Also: how did Captain America pick up Mjolnir? Is Mjolnir, a freaking hammer, now part of Hydra also?
