beta war inactive's, possible idea fixes

  1. With the issues with inactive's in beta wars finally catching ATA's intentions, I've came up with an idea how they could get around this issue.

    After the original sign ups, during the 2 hour waiting time, those who are matched, will need to confirm they are active by signing up, or confirming they are active at the 1 hour mark of the 2 hour match up period. They have 30 minutes to confirm this, with 30 minutes before the wars start, these sign ups are closed, and kick all those who fail to sign up, or confirm attendance. After this, clubs are re-balanced to make sides fair, as one side may have more kicked, or may have more bigger players kicked than smaller players.

    This is my idea how it can work, what are yours?

  5. Then if they go inactive during that period?

    Or decide to go inactive right at war. Like just do.. Cause of 2 hour period. There is no good way to smash this. If they clear 1 inactive where does that spot get filled?
     
  6. Justin, that is a possibility, yes, but as I said this is just an idea, and it's better than not doing anything, right?
    As for only one being kicked, there will be others in other wars, that can mix it all up with.
     
  7. Yeah I get it's only idea. Nothing frustrates me more then inactive.. When others are trying to win.

    Should just lock the inactive out of account for 24 hours and make it open farm. :)

  8. I think that wars will always have inactives no matter how many precautions you implement. Unless you want to auto-kick anyone who hasn't hit for over 30 min. but then sides are unbalanced and you've screwed the whole system. :ugeek: Sometimes shit happens, deal with it.

  10. That means he's qualified to work at mcdonalds, at best.

    As for the topic.. Perhaps an automatic kick for anyone who isn't active working the first half hour of war. It's not perfect but that way you can't just run amok with the other teams inactives for the duration of the war.
     
  11. Kicking inactive while in war, will make sides lob sided. Having an inactive at least draws the oppo attention away from your active hitters for a bit.
     
  12. how bout admin in beta wars club can kick??? so inactive will stop leaking... less work for ata ? beta war will start soon
     
  13. Kicking inactives from the war only means your actives will be pinned faster still.

    Zack i wish that idea could work but after a player signs in you can still have ppl go inactive at anytime. I've seen players even just go inactive as soon as war starts.

    I think that ata should have a number limit of hits you need to make at end of war to qualify you as active. Now granted this number has to be reachable even by players that may be pinned also. I mean it would suck if you just by chance was #25 on member list pinned in about 2min and could only hit from pin throughout war.

    Let's admit it some ppl only joined last beta wars for free hand outs but never worked. This will make ppl active in wars and keep them like that.
     
  14. Then who is to stop the admins abuse power and kick those who they don't like? Or make an agreement with someone one the oppo side and kick their members so they lose?
     
  15. Zach say you're pinned how many hits can a player do once they regen at 5min? Idr 4-6?
     
  16. 2 at max, 1 most of the time per regain since you're low energy and you're probably hitting some one who is full, bigger the energy difference, more energy you use/lose to try and win.
     
  17. Admins shouldn't be able to kick bcuz it's a locked war at that so once again you lose hitters if you take in Zack's point or the inactives that go. Opp will still smash on the few actives that are left.

    I do wish you could pick your admins tho. I've been in many beta wars when im leading and admins are not on or they just are not experienced and don't know how to do ca.

  19. Max of 2 hits from a 5 min regain> 9% per regain, fight 5% per hit at minimal energy use, dance 6%
