Sha I walk down the streets of my new town listening to All Time Low. And like the singer, I feel like dancing. My feet involuntary start to moonwalk. People start to stare at me. So I smile. I laugh when the song is over. I like this town. It's peaceful. Quiet. So serene. Like love. I sit on a bench looking around. Rolling hills cover the park gently. They look so perfect and- my thoughts about the beautiful landscape are broken. A tall boy runs past with a scared yet devious look. I watch him sprint past into the wood chased by an older woman and her cane in the air. I can't help it I start laughing. Hunter I crouch behind the bushes in the yard. My eyes scan the porch rapidly, waiting for evil Mrs. Fisher to come out. The front door swings open the second I throw the rock. It connects with the railing and hits the drain pipe. Dumping the contents into her hallway. I count to ten then sprint. The old hag moves faster than I've ever seen before. Her cane is flaying in the air a she chases me down the road in her slippers. I leap a bush and cut through the park. I'm almost to the woods when I see someone. A girl is perched on the edge of an old bench in the middle of the park. A skirt over jeans and head phones, seemingly oblivious to what's going on. I can't help it, I stop and stare. or?
Oh heeeeellllllssssssss no you did not just do that Taylor....oh it's on...just let me finish my Starbucks first
Yea I love your story soooooo much and it helps me understand your other one (ok I will now leave...and we will pick up this convo on our "special" chatting thread)
She looks so pretty and naive. Her eyes are closed and I can catch traces of hardcore rock. I see the old hag gaining so I slide onto the bench next to the girl. I tap my fingers on the wood, almost getting a splinter a few times. She bluntly ignores me. I resort to poking her arm. I get a loud, dramatic sigh. "Yes?" She replies, spice and not a not a bit of sugar. I smile slyly, pickup line time. Shayleigh "My friend wants to know if you think I'm sexy," the sweaty boy slung onto the bench asks me. "I highly doubt the hag is your friend," I say rolling up my headphones. He laughs, it sounds, well, sweet. Like wind chimes. "I meant my invisible friend, Thomas!" He exclaims in horror.
I look at the narrow space between us. "Nice to meet you Thomas. I'm Shay," I smirk. He's looking at me through his lashes. "And my sexy friend is Hunter," Hunter says in a raspy voice that strangely sounds like Elmo. "He's not sexy. But tell him I say hi," I stand up and stick my iPod in my pocket. Hunter stands up and looks at me. Taking in my poofy skirt and tank top. "What?" I ask, self consciously covering my chest. He blushes, "Nothing. Just thinking about how I can't pull off that skirt. Hunter Damn, she's gorgeous and innocent. She clearly has no idea the effect she has on people. Especially easily fooled guys. I find myself wanting to know more about her so I lie. My eyes trace the sky. It's getting dark I think. "Hey muggers run the park after dark. Want me to walk you home?"
