<><><><><><><><><><><><><><>< "Anna!! Anna! Wake up! You're late!!" heard a soft, urgent voice call from above me. I realized it was my boyfriend, Shawn. Outside it was cold and dark outside, but I forced myself up and began getting ready for work. Shawn smelled of body wash and shaving cream, and his white button up shirt hung open reavealing his strong chest. We were a typical couple, picky and very aware of eachother. I hated milk and he hated cheese, so we bought niether, for the others sake. We knew eachother too well. What else could you ask for in a relationship? He was the first man I had ever lived with.. While in a relationship. "You look smart." He smiled at my office suit. "Is that new? I've had this one for years." I said as I poured more tea. "Are you ready?" He picked up his briefcase And walked towards the door. I joined behind him and we walked the two grueling blocks to the subway station. "Goodbye Darling," He kissed me quickly and hurried away in the crowd. I almost believed we were married by the manner in which we acted together. I stepped into the subway, and held onto the rail as the subway shuttled off to work. I arrived just in time for a buisness meeting, in which Niel, the Co-Boss conducted. I felt years older than 28. The meeting closed at 12:30- my lunch break. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><>< I closed the door to my Flat. "I thought you'd be late.." Shawn smiled as he sat down at our table. "Ill cook dinner babe." "Youre amazing Shawn." I whispered as he massaged my stress knots away. "Then I'll carry you to bed and you can repay me all night for all these favors.." He smiled slyly and winked. "Deal." I winked back at him. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><>< I returned to work after a very steamy lunch break. I felt relaxed and peaceful. "Ms. Diyae, finish filing papers for next weeks session." Niel nagged my peaceful mood away. I began calling client after client, searching for a volunteer to donate a meeting place for the session next week, and filing papers and numbers. A long day, ended near 7:30. I decided to skip rush hour and walk the twelve blocks home. It was cold out, a harsh winter to say the least. The wind whipped my brown hair into my pale face, and snow trickled onto the street. I walked across the cross walk, slowly, not caring if the street walk timers ran out. A man was crossing from the other side, and i noticed that ge wore all black. Black jeans, a black jacket and then I looked up to his face. I don't know who stopped first, him or me, but we both remained I. The road, staring. I couldn't breathe in right, and car horns began to sound off around me. I began to walk again and as we passed our eyes met. I believe if he would have touched me, I would have followed him, but I continued to walk alone. I turned around to look and he was still there, watching me. He had no expression, just his eyes almost pulled me back to him. I glanced back one last time and he was gone, and that was that. I felt dizzy and hot tears formed in my eyes. Why did he look at me like that? <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><
