"" There's a reason that I avoid trading with my friends and people I like. In most trades there is a winner and a loser, and I would rather my friends and myself all be winners. The market, generally, is a very subjective place. Lots of opinions and beliefs: Not many facts; if any... and if a fact exists, it is simply an approximation of the current average opinion on an item's value. ToU doesn't have a say on the ethics of an open market in which most participants are disinterested, ignorant, uninformed, or misinformed. In the real world, computers track and predict the prices of stocks minute by minute. On the game "runescape", it is tracked daily in the GE. On pimd, nothing happens. Mike, I doubt you've always told people your real opinion on the value of an item, judging by your showcase. Deception is useful, not friendly. I'm not obliged to tell everyone my estimaton of item values. People don't extend me that courtesy either. I can admit to a.t.a in the help section that I haven't told people my own opinion on the value of items we're trading, and that I profited because of it. They wouldn't care. If a deal is 100 percent honest and reliant on truth, no profit will be made. You have profited. Your showcase is worth more than the items you've harvested from hunts and stuff. So you've done the same thing and are being hypocritical. And if anyone out there is calling people out on this: If your showcase isn't smaller than it would be had you never traded, you are a hypocrite. If you wanna not be hypocritical and continue spreading this message, then by all means enjoy your losses. Suck on your own trading prowess and leave people to their own business. Mutual profit only comes out of necessity. If 2 people NEED something and they don't NEED what they have, then they can both benefit. But we don't NEED any items on PIMD. They're all optional. It's a market of excess, and nobody loses anything they NEED either. ""
Off topic: don't refrigerate your persimmons. I put them in the fridge cuz cat kept trying to play with them and now they don't taste as good.
ok... but can't what if someone wants something that you don't want and stuff. Isn't it then a case of both people profiting?
