So.. woke up yesterday morning.. Let me start from the beginning: After a night of drinking.. I usually get up to go on a run the following morning. (When I'm not working that is). This morning tho.. I went through a new trail and I almost stepped on a baby turtle. ? Like my heart completely stopped. I thought it was a rock but felt so bad when I realized it was just a tiny reptilian thingy. I picked it up gently and apologized to it by saying: "Sorry bb.. I didn't see ya there.. pls forgive this fool." Anyways.. I moved it to the greenest patch of grass I could find, just in case there are other fools like me around.. don't want it to get squished by a shoe. I looked around to see if its mama was around or idk if these turtles leave their young to fend for themselves.. but I found nothing. I felt kinda bad leaving the youngin by itself, but I already got two freshwater turtles and this was defo a tortoise. I got no experience with land reptiles. Anyways.. that tiny and adorable thing has been on my mind all night and after a bunch of Googling came to find out it was an Eastern Box Tortoise. I'll probably go on a run in a couple of hours and see if I can find it. I'll bring tiny worms for it and bring a granola bar for myself. We will have breakfast and laugh about yesterday'incident. ? Oh.. I almost forgot.. I didn't come up with a name. Any suggestions? Gender neutral names pls.. cause idk if it's a boi turtle or girl turtle.
Nah. You're the cute one. I'm just gonna have breakfast with it so it's not lonely. Yeah, they eat insects and worms and fruit.. and tomatoes lol. Those videos of turtle eating tomatoes crack me the f up. ?
Oh.. and it didn't help that I had Ocean Eyes on repeat as I was doing my research.. felt guilty af. ☹
