OHAI THERE! This is the first collaboration thread attempt between Crystal and Wolf and we wanna see how this works out. So for our first topic, we chose something rather mutual. : We all know those stereotypes that people make about Asians. Like how they only eat rice, can't see, and only watch anime. Well Wolf and I have come here to tell you about our experiences with Asian stereotypes. *Note: Wolf and I are both Chinese. He lives in the Philippines as where I live in America. Stereotypes We Have Encountered : Okay, cultural stereotypes. I got one. So as you guys may or may not know, I live in this splotch of 7,107 islands in South East Asia our colonizers have so lovingly dubbed the Philippines. No, we are not called Philipinos. That looks awful, we're Filipinos. Surprise. We're considered Asian too. We have the city with the worst traffic in the world, a big population under the poverty line, and well, we're a Third World country. Anyway, I played a game before PIMD and made a bunch of friends there. One of them is this maybe 16 year old white kid from Alabama who had a really important question for me. (Take note, this is an online conversation) So, yeah that happened. : Here are some "fun" quotes that people have said or asked me: Amazing drawing by me.? :MOAR BEAUTIFUL. : Bruh... BECAUSE ASIANS ONLY GET A'S, OK? ASIAN PARENTS : Because what can be more Asian than Asian parents? They're never ever pleased. That's the running "gag" with Asian parents. Until you're absolutely the best (or rich?) they will not stop their endless barrage of condescension. But hey, that's love. : LOL OK HERES A RL STORY ABOUT MY FRIEND We used to do ice skating and she wanted to do that synchronized skating. So she told her Asian dad and he was like "no you won't be the star then." : Ouch. What will we ever do without our Asian Parent memes!? Hair color? I'm automatically dubbed as a stupid blonde when in fact I'm quite intelligent and in an intense educational program. Race (white/Caucasian)? You must have both parents.... NOPE. I have my mom who's been married three times and a drug addict of a dad. You tell me. ?

I'm Chinese and one common Stereotype I Got when I was in High School was (and I'm sure Asians have experienced this at least once) I was automatically good at math and got Straight A's if I was Asian :lol: I would also get made fun of for my Last Name
