alot of people are strongly against this,but me personally coming from the ghetto,and seeing what gangster rap culture does to our society and youth,you have lot of gangster thugs running around acting lawless,i say hell maybe we need militirized police with tanks,decked out in gear that looks like they were at a warzone in Afghanistan,and maybe they need the bomb resistant tanks they have,anyway I am going to end this by saying i personally am in favor of a police state
What we need is common sense and parents to raise their kids better. Police suck most of the time too.

? To be honest man this is not a good idea. I'm not sure where you grew up but I'm assuming around The Projects. Anyways Police do not deserve: Tanks, or Special Tack Gear or War Equipment. Tanks only have one purpose and that's to stay out in the war field and blow stuff up, this isn't GTA where crazy cops shoot before asking to put the gun down. Special tactical gear is already given to a special type of officers and that is called SWAT. War Gear is something meant to be kept in the War Field reasons why it's called War Gear. Again this isn't GTA this is real life.
What's going in Ferguson is just disgusting. I mean really, they're not wearing their badges. They're throwing tear gas and pointing rifles at people just standing there harmlessly. Instead of money being sent for police to have tanks and more deadly weapons, why don't we use it for something useful, like the crappy education we have.
But aren't you the one who said you've been to prison? Maybe it wasn't bad for you, but my mom and other people I've visited in jail said that the guards are terrible. Mind you, yes they're criminals, but sometimes they are overly abusive and whatnot. From what I've seen with the police, they're like this too. And have what you suggested is the worst possible thing, people would attempt to riot, lives would be lost, don't think it's needed. Just saying
