THIS IS MY FIRST STORY. So I'd appreciate constructive criticism, but don't make it mean. I apologize for any errors -------------------------------------------------- "Just do it. Just do it. COME ON, DO IT!" The voice of my instructor rang through my head. Did I want to do it? No way! Did I have to, yes. This man was a criminal and he had to go. That's how it is on the secret island, Peridina. All criminals die when caught-no questions asked. Unfortunately, I was one of the people in that business. I will never forget that night. I was 13, just recruited by my late father's friend who was commanding me to shoot the murderer. It was my first kill-the murderer of my parents. I shook myself back to reality only to realize where I was, standing next to yet another dead person. This time it was a woman, I recalled shooting her for being a con artist. "Back to the Station." I whispered to myself. I put the body into a black box and took her and myself back to CJNP (Criminal Justices of North Peridina). The first person to notice me at the CJNP Station was my old instructor and my "Parental Unit" as I like to call him, Joseph. I tried to sneak past him but he raised an eyebrow and stopped me, "Alex, what do you think you are doing with that casket of yours?" I quickly made something up, "I thought it looked dirty so," Joseph interrupted me, "Don't lie to me." He opened the coffin and gave a big smile. "EVERYONE," he yelled, " ALEX HAS CAUGHT THE CONWOMAN WE WERE LOOKING FOR! HE FIRST CAPTURE WITHOUT AN INSTRUCTOR! LET'S ALL GO FOR COFFEE, ON ME!" Then there was a whole bunch of cheering and "good jobs!" as we went to the local coffee shop, Stites. Stites is a small coffee shop from the 80s that everyone went to. Even if you didn't like coffee you went there to hang out of just people watch. It was the only coffee shop in town so it really didn't have much competition for hang-out places. Everyone was having fun at the celebration but me. There was a lot of "I remember my first time....". But I wasn't around at anyone's first time so I couldn't reminisce. I just pretended to be interested. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a green glimmer. I turned to look there and saw a waitress discreetly handing a shady man what looked like a cat-sized emerald. Without them noticing, I took a picture with my phone and quickly excused myself to the restroom. With a CJNP-only app on my phone I was able to figure out that the people in the picture were partners in crime. The waitress was Maria Gwen, a famous jewel theif, and the man went by many names, he true identity unknown (let's call him Fred). What Fred does is hacks into different museum's security system, making it easier for Maria to steal the jewels. No one knows what they do with the jewels, but probably not good things. I took a peak outside the bathroom only to see them sneaking out. Thank goodness there was a window by the restrooms. I hopped out (bad idea, do not try this out home) and chased after them. It was pretty painful because Stites had the bushes with the pointy leaves around the perimeter. Those bushes are pretty pointless so I do not understand why put them near your shop. I eventaully found the duo trying to climb some random wall. Good thing it was dark, so I quickly tied up the thief (thinking she was the stealthier one) and Fred was easy to pin up. I turned on my handy dandy flashlight and found the emerald in Fred's pocket. The two were speechless. "Hey, this is the new addition to the museum down the street! I know most of the things about you Maria Gwen and guy I call Fred!" I explained. "At least we were caught together. Good-bye world. I love you Victor." Maria said in a heavy greek accent. "Good-bye world! I love you to Maria." Victor/Fred said his good-byes. I closed my eyes and shot the two. "You have been caught by Alexandra. The girl who must be a man to be part of the CJNP." I told their corpses. I then called Joseph, reporting an incident. -------------------------------------------------- I understand the plot could've been a bit more developed, thanks to all who read/commented!
