Can we all agree that predators, cat.fish, girls selling explicit pics/vids for real money, and people under 17 should all be banned? ATA should take this into consideration to help make gameplay more enjoyable for others.
Those are all silencable and bannable offenses, except for the càtfishing one I believe. I think it's just the sheer amount of offenses that can make it difficult to moderate. Plus, mods themselves do not have the power to completely ban someone from game / terminate an account ー I believe they can only silence the account and pass on to ATA that the account may need to be banned. Unfortunately if an account is silenced and/or banned I don't think anything stops them from just making another account.
But if you claim that you are only 18 now... wouldn’t you have been banned at some point, by your own definition of what should be banable since you started playing the game? Also, you have stated numerous times that you have spoken with people “underage”. Did you do your part in reporting them or nah?
The TOU has stated that players under 17 years of age are ban-able. Although i havent checked the TOU myself, i had an experience regarding the situation. Once i encountered someone who claimed to be 12 yo. She randomly added me and sent a pm. When figuring out her age, i was immediately telling her to delete the game bcs she is not supposed to be playing this game. But she was being adamant about staying and i had to do what i had to do, adding a mod and consulted about it. The mod helped me by saying that i needed to report her through "help". So then i managed to send a ticket. The response was not really unsatisfactory except that Help wasnt able to actually ban the profile. Despite me telling her actual username and some supporting arguments, they werent able to ban that girl rightaway bcs the statement was happened in a private line which is personal message. This is, i must admit, something that is disappointing but also good to be acknowledged, the point is ATA didnt intrude your personal exchanges in PM. But the disappointing point is that they didnt intrude so they cant take further actions regarding the underage players. I dont know what's better, to have our pms under ATA's scrutiny, as one of the mechanism to sweep away all the underages or relying only on public statements such as in campus chat to actually eradicate those lil pure asses. Overall, i am just sharing my experience. Hope it's relevant to the thread.
