  1. Prolouge:

A gust of wind ripples the man's robes as he faced his opponent. The man grinned. He had no worries about this fight, he knew he was the best. It wasn't his ego talking- it was true.

In a movement that is almost invisible to human eye, he jabs at the ground, sending waves of Earth towards the other man. The destructive waves thrust the man into the air, and back down again.

The elementalist smiled. His ability to bend the elements at his will was very valuable in fights. Years of constant practice made him the best of his kind. For that, they gave him the name "Terra". The name suit him will, as earth was his favorite element.

Terra picked up a nearby boulder and threw it at the man. The man hardly had time to dodge the boulder, and lost his balance. Terra used this moment to take nearby vines and wrap them around the man. He fell to the ground, entangled by the elementalist's vines.

The elementalist walked over, taking his time. He wanted the man to feel the torturous pain.

"Tell me now" Terra said, his face an inch away from the man. "Where is the king?"

The man spat in his face, splattering it with his crimson blood.

    "Wrong answer."

The crunching of bones was audible as Terra tightened the vines to the point that they crushed the man.

"I guess I'll have to find out myself."

Rumor was spreading in Izengurd. Rumor that the king's advisor had been murdered. Though that was news all on it's on, people were saying he had been killed by Terra. Terra's name sent waves of fear through their hearts. They had heard stories of his merciless murder and torture. Nobody wanted to be encountered by him.

"I say it's all a lie." The bartender said. "People make all sorts of crazy stuff up these days."

"Then explain why he isn't here!" Thorne spat back.

The bartender shrugged. "Got caught up in the big city. Probably found a farmer's daughter, and wanted to stay one more night."

Thorne sighed. He knew there was something wrong. The bartender had a point, people made rumors all the time. But the advisor was supposed to arrive last afternoon, and he still isn't here. What if the rumors were true?

Just then, a man's voice could be heard screaming outside the building. Thorne got up and stepped outside to see what the man was screaming about.

The man looked pale, and was panting as he ran down the street.

"The king! The king is dead!"
