Western kpop. Somehow the fandom is even more cringey especially because if we are talking about fashionability and such, the band is 'so 8 years ago'. I find the homunculus that is the pop band to be interesting. They blend fashion with music in an interesting way that seems to matter. Usually when I want to analyse an artist, I just go by the music, but these bands use fashion to such a great extent in order to win over their audience that I can't really relate. Their clothes, hair, and sex appeal mean nothing to me but it seems to be an electric and dynamic element of their brand, image, and accruing of a fandom.
