    I'm back with another What Do You Call This thread! It's the fifth of its kind.  Huzzah. My BFFL sent me The Object ?Don't mind her, she's addicted to Sugar.


    Well let's get this started as I don't want to waste anymore of your time.


    Sooooooo, The Object for this thread is sweet, pink, and sticky. Umm no.... Just no, dear reader.


    This Object is made by a machine which contains a small bowl, you pour sugar into it, food colouring is also added. The sugar reserve bowl is spun in a circular motion at super duper velocity while heaters on the side melt the sugar which is squeezed out from tiny holes by centrifugal force.


    Centrifugal Force ~An object traveling in a circular motion behaves as if it is experiencing an outward force.


    The molten sugar then solidifies in the air and is caught in a bigger bowl surrounding the sugar reservoir. Then the guy using the machine uses something, generally a stick, around the edge of the bowl to collect the sugar strands.


    Have you guessed it yet?!?

  4. The minute you said something about "pouring sugar into a bowl-like structure and spinning it" (can't remember exact quote) I was like, "COTTON CANDY YASS WHERE'S MY PRIZE"


    But there was no prize so now I'm sad ?

  14. Yep! The way it just melts. You can't describe the way it melts as it will take away the joy of it. It's like translating a French quote into English, you'll lose the umph.
