The sun shined high in the sky. Bridget laid in her yard, enjoying this day as it was ever hardly cool outside with this perfect sunshine. She thought about how she was finally going to see her dad. He had been based in Africa was some oh-so important mission that was " Only dad can know kinda crap that made her worry until she felt herself rising into hysterics. She heard some footsteps to her left and turned over. "Nice weather huh?", Her mom, Lisa commented. Lisa was on of those typical moms. Always smiled, family-orientated. Bridget admired her mother. She wore her brown hair in a loose bun, her eyes almost the same color as her hair, her skin tan from those hours of gardening. She laughed as bridget took in her mother's beauty. "Yup. The type of weather we can only dream about...besides today.", Bridget said, getting up and making her way to the door while her mom trailed behind. Bridget threw herself onto the couch, lazily. Soaking in the sun all day made her drowsy for some odd reason. "What's for dinner mom?", she said, peering around in the kitchen. But her mom wasn't here. "Mom? Mom!", she called. No answer. She looked at her watch. It was 3:34. They had to pick up dad in 10 minutes. Bridget walked back outside, hoping maybe her mom had just went outside to grab some spices from her little garden in the backyard. But her mom was nowhere to be found, no sign of her anywhere. She felt herself rising into hysterics, as she did when she worried. She searched the house and stilled couldn't find her mom. She sighed and decided that her mom must have left the house to go get her dad. She walked to her room, looking at herself in the mirror. Her hazel eyes and light brown hair reminded her how much she looked like her dad, and how much she missed him. She would see him soon enough. And with the thought of her family being together again made her lay back on her bed, close her eyes and fall fast asleep.
*Update 9/6/11* Bridget woke up, dazed. She had had the most amazing dream. Her,her mom and her dad laughing and smiling, running up and down the Santa Monica Beach. Her mom had always wanted to go to the beach but they lived in the middle of the country so no beaches. She stiffly sat up and ran down stairs hoping her mom was back. "Mom?", Bridget called. No reply that belonged to her mother. Only a hard,broken-off cackle that sent a chill down her back. Walking into the kitchen, her eyes bulged as she took in the stranger standing in her kitchen. "Hello Bridget.", He said, warmly. "My name is Salrion." "Eh...do I know you? If not, I think you should leave.", She replied, wanting to hurry and get this strange man out of her house. "All in good time dear.", Salrion said, patting her head. She decided to get a good look at him, in case she needed to report this to the police. Under his black hoodie and dark jeans, she could see that he had a athletic build. He had dark brown hair, just a little darker than her mom's. She squinted at him and he did nothing nor said nothing. He only smiled. "I know where your mother is....your father too.", He said, grinning. This time his smile wasn't warm and welcoming as it had been. It was twisted and wicked. Bridget almost lunged at him. "WHERE ARE THEY?!", she screamed. "They are with my associates in Brazil.", Salrion replied, lazily as if he was bored with the conversation. "What associates?!", Bridget demanded. He sighed. "I'm afraid that's classified.", He said. He quickly walked towards the door. Before stepping out the door, he leaned over and whispered in Bridget's ear, which made her cringe. "If you want your parents, you have 31 days or less to find them in Brazil."
