So, as the new year is welcomed, it seems relevant to bring up the rumours of the ending of Earth towards the verge of 2013. Quite simply, what's your view on this? Personally, I believe completely against. Several rumours strongly similar have proved false, making 2012 hardly different. "Question (Q): Are there any threats to the Earth in 2012? Many Internet websites say the world will end in December 2012. Answer (A): Nothing bad will happen to the Earth in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012." Above is a section of the FAQ page on the NASA website - y'know, the officially accurate 'people' who know what they're saying? It may seem like they're oversimplifying a hidden legacy, however, with further research, I find no physical direct evidence/proof. So then, what's your views on the rumoured ending of the world?
I agree with you completely. A - Incase I'm a Mayan and I decided to make a calendar out of nothing but stone , I'll be tired and not want to Go on. B- Mayans might have had a different way of telling time or the years, so scientist might have misread it. C- Nobody knows when the word is ending so...
There's theories, one of which saying that 'Planet X' or Nibiru for the correct name is a planet in our solar system that will crash into Earth. FALSE, if that was to happen we would be able to see it in the sky already. Another theory is that solar flares will do 'stuff' to Earth, the conspirators don't know what though, and this will destroy us. FALSE, although we will be experiencing solar flares that WILL change Earth with noticeable differences it won't kill us. Yet another theory; the Sun, the Earth and the centre of the Milky Way will line up on the 21st of December and do yet more 'stuff' to us, yet no one knows what. This is also FALSE as it happens every year. And that's my round up of 2012 theories, all proven wrong. Thank you and goodbye

Ok here what i think The world is not going to end in 2012 just because some people got lazy and stopped makind calenders. The movie just freaked everybody out and made it more dramatic. There... I think i made my point.
Agreed with Lindsey The movie has just freaked everyone out. Apparently the world was supposed to end in 2010 too. But no that didn't happen because we are still here, alive today. Apparently the world was also supposed to end in: 2008 2005 2001 1997 1995 1995 was when I first heard about the madness about the world coming to an end. So believe what you want to believe but I can guarantee the world definitely won't end this year.
We won't ever be destroyed until the sun explodes (about 400 billion years) or somehow we get destroyed by a huge meteor. That's also very unlikely because for it not to be pulled into the suns gravitational pull but somehow be sucked into the earth would be pretty unlucky.
Nothing's going to happen.People who believe the world is ending this year have not yet read the Bible.Honestly God mad the earth for humans and animals to live on. Of course the Bible mentions we'll see things that have never been seen before but the world is not ending in 2012 or 2015. just my opinion
