    Chapter 1: Introduction

    The NSS, or Naval Super Soldiers, is a highly advanced military program created in the year 2032 on the outskirts of Glasgow, Scotland. Consisting of 70 soldiers, from the first wave, NSS is not yet considered a military branch in Scotland.

    Started mainly to stop world war three, 37 soldiers already died in the first two years. In 2036 only 32 soldiers remain. Director John Sparks must be careful with who he sends into combat.

    Wave two of recruitment is dated for early 2037. This wave is suspected to twice as many soldiers over wave one.

    We all hope wave two will be more effective...

    Entry:

    My recent data on NSS is not the best. Four KIAs in one week is not what I had in mind.

    Team Scepter is now only consisting of two soldiers, is now cornered in Russian territory. And there is no way in hell we can send help. We are just to damn short on soldiers.

    Two teams, Bronze and Iron, are pinned in China, and in this war there are no prisoners.

    Other teams remain at headquarters being briefed, debriefed, or training. This program is slowly crumbling...I just can't wait for wave two.

    Our best Teams are Gold and Saber. Maybe they'll buy us time...

    Chapter 2: The start

    Sydney, Australia
    2200 hours
    March 7, 2036

    Team Saber POV

    "Move move move!" I heard Sergeant Daniels shout over the heavy fire from the Russians.

    I ran hard following my team into a semi-burning building. We rushed into the lobby of this building and set up our computer. I kneeled at the doorway with my M4A1 pointed at the entrance of the building.

    "Oi Private! Gimme a fresh magazine!" Corporal Bywater said while working on the computer giving coordinates for team Silver to drop a Napalm strike.

    I grabbed one from my belt and slid it over to where he was.

    "C'mon Fred you gotta hurry up." Sergeant Daniels said firmly looking through a window.

    "I'm working on it sir." Corporal Bywater said frustratedly.

    "Hey Private if you survive I'll buy you a round alright?" Major Conners said smiling and patting my shoulder.

    "Team Silver this is Corporal Bywater do you copy over?" Fred said into his radio.

    "Affirmative Corporal." A soldier said over the radio.

    "I'm sending you the coordinates right—" but he was cut off by an explosion from a grenade.

    "Shit get down!" Major Conners shouted.

    I finally regained vision and saw a Russian soldier coming in the doorway but was shot by Fred. Sergeant Daniels and Major Conners were both firing their weapons through the window and it looked like Fred had hurt his leg.

    "Private send the damn coordinates!" Major Conners shouted as I staggered to my feet.

    I made my way to the computer and picked up the radio.

    "Team Silver this is Private John Wallace I'm sending you the coordinates now!" I shouted into the radio and pressed send on the computer's keyboard.

    "Affirmative Private. We are on our way." The soldier said over the radio.

    I rushed over to Fred and dragged him to computer. I set him on his back and rushed to the doorway.

    Minutes passed and I was running out of ammunition. I grabbed my M1911 out of its holster and started firing.

    Suddenly I heard a jet coming our way...fast.

    "Get down!" Sergeant Daniels said.

    I leaped for the ground and the floor began to shake as the building started to crumble.

    "We need to get out of here now!" I shouted. "This place is gonna collapse.

    I stood and put Fred over my shoulder and we rushed out of the back door of the building. And of course, more contacts.

    "Give me cover!" I shouted and the Sergeant and Major fired three round controlled bursts.

    "We need a helicopter pronto!" I shouted to command over my radio.

    "Affirmative Team Saber. It will arrive in about two minutes hang in there." Command said over the radio.

    I set Fred down and watched building collapse in the distance. Everything was burning. The beautiful city of Sydney was overrun and became a battlefield.

    I heard the helicopter come from fifty meters away and we rushed to it.

    "Time to go home boys." The gunner said.

    Chapter 3: Moving up

    Beijing, China
    0700 hours
    March 8, 2036

    Team Gold POV

    "Alright team remember our mission? Find Castorvave, blow his mansion to smithereens, and get the hell out of there." Commander Ross said to his team strapping on his parachute.

    "Yes sir!" The four other men said and they jumped out of the plane and into the morning sky.

    They landed in an open field and crouched their way to the big city. But this city wasn't beautiful and full of life...it was burning and was a battleground.

    "This is echo 1 do you read me Bronze leader? Over." Commander Ross said into his radio.

    "We read you sir! We lost Team Iron...or at least we think. We can't find them and we're getting hammered over here!" A soldier said over the com.

    "Hang in there Terrance we're coming." Sergeant Winterpath whispered to himself.

    "Don't worry Terrance we're on our way." Commander Ross said into the radio. "Alright team let's move!"

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Edinburgh, Scotland
    Headquarters
    0900 Hours
    Team Saber POV
    I woke on my bed. Everything was silent. Although I was used to William Conner's snoring. I laid there thinking of the night before. How I save the team...and sent the coordinates to Team Saber
    Even though I gave the coordinates and saved Fred's ass I'm still gonna be a private. Four years of this and I'm still a private. It's probably because I'm young.
    "Private...can I get a word with you?" General Crncovich said standing at the doorway of my dorm.
    "Yes sir." I said getting out of bed pulling some sweats on.
    We walked through the Headquarters and all was silent. The place still amazed me after four years of living here.
    It was huge and full of exotic things. It had an amazingly big gym full of workout equipment that citizens have no access to and and overly large track that equals a mile in one lap. Four times the normal track.
    We walked until we reached his office. I sat in a chair in front of his desk.
    "Private Wallace..." General Crncovich said quietly while opening a manilla folder and slipping on his glasses.
    Me, of course, stayed quiet.
    "2200 hours last night you and your team were on a mission to drop four napalm strikes on Sydney, Australia with assistance from team Silver am I correct?" General Crncovich said looking at his folder.
    "Yes sir." I said tonelessly.
    "It seems you and your team only dropped three. Am I correct?" He said.
    "Yes sir but—"
    "And it seems that Corporal Bywater broke his leg while ambushed by a grenade on your third strike attempt." The general said cutting me off.
    "Sir Fred was the only—"
    "I do not care that Fred was the only soldier they could work the computer. What want to know is how the hell you sent the coordinates, called for evac, and got the hell out of there." The General said smiling.
    I just laughed.
    "And I read you saved Fred's ass? Nicely done. For that I'm moving you up to Lieutenant how does that sound John?" General Crncovich said holding out his hand.
    "Sounds great sir." I said shaking his hand.
    "Good. Now go get some rest. I have matters to attend to."
    I walked out of his office and back to my dorm where I plopped on my bed and fell right asleep.
