Another story from me! Hope you enjoy, please try and get lots of readers! <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>< My car window was down, a fresh gust of wind rushing in quickly, my soft caramel hair flying wild and free on the blanket of air. My warm tanned hands were gripped firmly on the hot steering wheel, the shiny red paint of my Jaguar glinting in the sun. I smiled to myself as I saw crystal blue sea water lap up onto creamy white sand at Pier Beach, and giggled as I realised my small homey cottage was placed right opposite the beauty. "I'm going to like it here!" I muttered quietly to myself, smiling like a maniac. I was so glad the removal company had came just one short hour earlier, so I could move in right away. Parking up into my garage, I walked out happily to be greeted by my new, and apparently friendly, neighbours. "Hi! I'm Pauline!" Her firm hand shook mine gently, a grin plastered onto her jolly face. I noted her rosy cheeks and dimples at the corners of her smiley mouth. Laughing quietly, I introduced myself to the three curious people that turned up at my new door. There was Pauline, Hank, and Jocasta. Hank was a tanned muscular man with well manicured facial hair, and a perfect hairstyle, each individual hair gelled perfectly into place. A burnt autumn colour, I could say that his hair was certainly what made me fall for him, as well as his charming smile and flirty personality. Jocasta was a mature woman who must of been beautiful in her prime years. I could tell by the way her eyes always laughed, the two sapphire jewels windows to her soul. Her hair was pinned up gracefully, a few brunette curls dancing around her neck. She had a charismatic and outgoing personality, and a fantastic sense of humour, her many jokes truly hilarious. "Coffee, anyone?" I asked calmly, scolding myself for not asking before. I was dying to use my shiny new espresso machine! Pauline kindly refused, indicating that she would have to return home soon to prepare for work. She was a roadie for Sweet Sin, I couldn't believe it! Hank smiled cheerily, but explained his relationship with Pauline, and stood solemnly to leave. Jocasta also sweetly declined my offer and said she must return home to look after her three young children whilst Simis, her 'darling' husband, went out to work. I nodded politely and showed them out, waving happily as they sped off to there destinations. The door clicked shut, and I settled into my cream sofa to watch a spot of television, the news my main priority. Nothing really interesting caught my eye, just a few odd stories about the new restaurant, Little Corsican Bistro, and the busy protest outside of the town hall. But then my name was mentioned. I couldn't believe what I saw, a small picture of me popped up on the small screen, the pixels flashing against my jolly smile. My tired mind immediately switched off, solely focusing on the pretty reporter and her short story. "Arriana Nardiello, a newcomer to Sunset Valley, has shown herself as a friendly, fun-loving person. Everyone in the neighbourhood welcomes you warmly Miss Nardiello, and a party at Central Park has been planned to welcome you into our humble community. We all hope to see you there tomorrow! I'm Anne Song, and that was your news at six." I pressed the off button, a sound of electricity residue filling the air. I poured myself a glass of white wine, sipped it, savouring the sweet taste, and started to think about my new life. Walking slowly towards the window, I looked on to see many silhouettes playing, talking, socialising on the beach, all bathed in golden sunlight. Nursing my nearly empty glass of wine, I chuckled softly to myself, simply thinking; 'Ahh, it's a small world.'
