  1. I made this because I was bored. Most likely wont continue it.

The sad part about life is, when you're happy, life sends you something bad your way. So I was dreading the day when the girl next door asked me on a date.

Ok, so it technically wasn't a date. We were working on a project. But we were by ourselves in he city.

"So," I stared, "what do you want to do? Diorama? Power point? Poster?" I always let my partner pick what we do. It's just nicer that way.

"You decide, you're the Einstein ," she said with a smile. God, I just love her smile.

"I was thinking maybe this..." I sketched out an interactive poster. She watched with interest, nodding at some points. I was about half way through when the worst thing imaginable happened.

The window of the cafe exploded inward.

  2. BUMP, UPDATE! DO SOMETHING!!

  3. Thanks to my quick reflexes, I was able to pull us out if the blast. Shards of glass were every where. As I helped her to her feet, a man walked through the shattered window. He held a gun.

"Give me everything you have!" He shouted. Most people ran for cover. Others just dropped and curled into a ball. But not her. She stood her ground.

"Get out if here before the cops show up," she said. I had to admire her. She had more guts than me. And that's saying something.

The guy looked at her and smiled. He walked over and clutched her arms behind her back. She screamed out in pain.

"No!" I cried. She tried to twist away from him but he held on to her strong.

"Give me everything or she dies!" He said. He held the gun to her face. I just stood there in shock, not knowing what to do.

  4. She struggled against him, not caring about the gun. I couldn't do anything. I just watched and wished the police would show up. I finally heard sirens.

She smiled and struggled harder against the robber. The robber began to slowly back out of the cafe, still holding her.

"Don't try anything!" he warned. I put my hands up.

"Just let her go," I said. She looked at me.

"Don't be e hero. I'm fine." Those were her lay words before the robber ran with her. Once he was out of sight, I ran through the window wand looked around.

The street was in chaos. Police were investigating everything. Some were asking people questions. I stood there watching, horrified by what just happened. Then someone came up to me.

"You're that kid for the paper," he said. I studied him. I think I've seen him somewhere before.

    "Yeah, that's me," I replied.

"So, why aren't you taking photos of the crime?" he asked. At first I was a little confused then remembered.

"Uh, I left my camera at home," I explained. He nodded and walked away. I looked around for any trace of the robber or her.

Then I saw it. On the corner street sign was a few strands of red hair. The exact same color as hers. I looked at what direction it was hooked on. It lead into an alley. I went down into it to search.

  5. Few grammar errors but nice story

  6. And a few spelling. Tired right now and I'm just writing what comes.

  7. But it's coming out as a good story

  8. Maybe. I don't know.

  9. I knew I should have changed right then. It would have been easier to track them from in the air. But I was desperate and needed to find them.

I saw fresh muddy footprints on the ground. I followed them to the East River.

When I finally caught up to them, they were standing on a boat. He was still holding the gun to her head. She has tears in her eyes and a bruise on her cheek.

"What did you do?!" I yelled at him. He smiled and pressed the gun harder on her temple.

"Not one more step," he said threateningly. I froze where I was. If only I wasn't human, I could stop him.

"Good, now give me everything." Then I remembered. I wasn't human. I looked down at my wrists. Good, they were still there. I didn't want to show too much in front of her, though. So I'll try to keep it to a bare minimum.

"I don't have anything. Just let her go," I pleaded. The robber laughed at me.

"That's not true. You always have something." I was about to reply when a blue beam came out of no where and hit the robber in the back.

  10. I'll update later today

  11. "Damn it, Sam. I had everything under control," I mumbled under my breath. They started to fall off when I caught her. The robber landed beside me. I set her down and led her away from him. They could take care of him by themselves.

The robber was about to get up when he got shot again in the back. We watching from afar. The robber stood up and looked around with his fists raised.

"Come get some!" He shouted at the sky. A blue bean hit him in the head, knocking him out. Then Nova (Sam as I know him) landed in front of us.

"Thank you so much!" She ran over to him and hugged him. He hugged her then smirked at me. I rolled my eyes.

"Thanks for the assistance, um, what's your name again? Bucket head?" Sam's face turned a bright red. She laughed and walked to my side.

"Anytime, civilian." He emphasized civilian. Then he flew off. But I heard him mutter something before he left.

    "Fury wants us for training."

  12. There. An update.

  13. This reminds me of a movie.

  14. I sat on the edge of the building, looking at the carrier. There was no way I was going in there. I didn't want to be yelled at again for being reckless. Or that time when I caused too much collateral damage. Don't ask.

Anyways, it was Saturday. That means I'm on my time. Weekends are my days off. It was in the contract. And I'm still waiting for my jet pack.

"You know, Fury will be so ticked to learn that you're skipping training again," said a voice behind me. I turned and saw Sam. Just what I needed right now.

"Go away," I said. Sam shrugged and flew away. Man, I hate him.

I sat thinking for a moment, wondering what I should do when I heard a scream.

  15. Sorry it was short.
