"Umm not to sound rude or anything... But kill her already, what the hell you waiting for?" Slay yelled, spraying spit as he did so. The big vein on the side of his neck began to bulge farther out, as sweat ran down the sides of his slowly wrinkling face.
I hated when I was around this guy, but what choice did I have really, but to sit here beside him on this old stained up couch and watch old cheesy horror movies.
apparently is called father son bonding, well at least that's what he was trying to get me to believe. For some people sitting down and watching a movie with their father was fun, or even enjoyable, but I don't think it counts when all you can see is the smoke from his cigar, running freely around us, invading my personal space with it's stink. Or the smell of beer, mixed with extreme BO assaulting my senses.
Slay gave me a harsh elbow to the side, knocking the wind out of me, and causing pain to split down my side.
"I swear you can see the ropes moving everything around." He said with a loud sneer, then chugged from his opened beer.
I fought to not glare at him now.
"You noticed that to?" I said my voice sounding flat even to me.
    Slay laughed loudly.
"I may be slow, but I aint stupid." He smirked, rubbing his fingers on his already stained flannel shirt, also covered in small hole that look as if they had been cut with a knife. I wouldn't at all be surprised if someone had tried to stab him, he was gross enough to pass off as a homeless man.
I nodded to him, shifting a little farther from him, hoping to find a clean spot to sit on, but finding none.
I prayed my mother would find some way of getting me back home to Miami, back to a nice clean home with two nice parents, and a bratty younger sister who needs read to every night before she goes to bed.
My heart ached as I thought of them, I missed them so much, even though it had only been a few days since I got here. Some how my 'father' scrapped up enough money from his poker games to buy a good lawyer, and now he has the rights to legally take me, until I turn 18 then I can go were I please.
Two years never seemed so far away. My mother had been so broken the day she watched Slay come pick me up in his old rusted up piece of crap tin that he called a car. Even my step father had been upset. I had it all, the perfect life, with friends, a girlfriend, and now I have nothing, just a new worry everyday. Would I wake up with bugs chewing away at my body, would I get cancer for breathing on all this smoke, and some nights I wondered if I'd wake up at all.
"Blade, go get more fire for the fire place." Slay grunted, banging on the TV as it suddenly got fuzzy.
"My name isn't Blade anymore, it's William." I said trying to remain calm as I pulled my light flannel jacket on, and rolled up my sleeves.
"Sure what ever, if you like having a girlie name, Blade is more manly." Slay smirked, and puffed a cloud of smoke in my direction, making me gag.
There really was no fighting with this guy, he wasn't even worth the breath, so I just grabbed the axe that was sitting beside the door, and made my way out side.
What a dumb place to put an axe, the locks on the doors didnt work as it is, now if someone did break in, they would have no trouble finding a weapon.
As I stalked out to the wood pile, shivering a little at the late October winds blowing down my neck, and making goosebumps I whistled, just happy to be away from Slay.
I began setting the wood piece by piece on top of a large tree trunk, and slitting each of them in half. I tried to take my to my time to prolong my time away from him.
As I took my last chop I froze at the sound of a wolf howl. I had no idea there were wolves out here...
My eyes searched the small stretch of forest, that the howl had come from but I had seen nothing. Maybe it sensed how disgusting this place was and ran, how I wished I had that choice.
Picking up a few pieces of wood, I took one more breath of fresh air, and went stomping back inside the trailer.
"Hurry Blade your missing the best part." Slay yelled from the couch, sounding like he had a big mouth full of something. I groaned quietly in reluctance, quiet enough not to be heard, and did as he said,
I shoved the wood into the old rusted fire place sitting a few feet beside the TV, and watched the ambers flare brighter, and sparks to fly red hot everywhere.
I slowly made my way back to the couch, and flinched as I sunk down into the seat when I sat back down.
Slay handed me a bowl of popcorn, here you go kid, you need to eat more, your going to turn to dust." he said with his mouth full of popcorn.
I politely took one piece, and frowned in disgust.
"Doesn't that taste a little... Stale?" I said handing it back to him quickly.
He laughed, making popcorn kernels fly across the room.
He laughed, making popcorn kernels fly across the room.
I glanced at the clock and sighed in relief as I saw it was time for me to go to bed.
Standing up quickly I nodded to Slay politely.
"I'm off to bed now, i have school in the morning." I said with a fake yawn.
"Alright night kid." He grumbled to me, as I retreated to the back of the trailer, and closed the door to my room with a creak.
My room was probably considered the cleanest place in the trailer, but it was pretty small. My bed took up most of the room, then my dresser took up the rest of the room. But strangely Slay gave me a queen sized bed, that somehow didn't even have a crumb on it.
I crawled onto my bed to get over to my dresser, and began to undress. I wanted badly to shower but I only could in the mornings because of the lack of water we had here.
After slipping on my pj bottoms, and one of my old shirts I laid back against my pillow, and looked out the window.
Surely my life wasn't going to be thus terrible, it couldnt get any worse, so it could only get better.
