all I hear is the wind I can't help but open my eyes this is the start of a new year, a new school year...I roll over and look at the clock....."8:49"....OH CRAP..I'm gonna be late on my first day.....I jump out of bed brush my teeth, brush my long blonde hair, put my contacts on and put some jeans and a cutest shirt I could find....(I hadn't been shopping in a while)......
on my way to school I pass a car crash scene I can't see who was hurt cause of all the ambulances and cops...all I can see is a nice blue and black mustang completely totaled the entire back seat of the drivers side is crushed and the passenger side is nearly missing all the windows are shattered.....all that's left is the small emblem of a running horse on the front.....
I finally made it to school.....I find parking and walk inside and take a deep breath "I'm back". I find my locker and try the code a few times and it won't unlock I try a few more times and get frustrated...I look down at the paper that has my code on it and realize I'm putting it in wrong..I finally get it open and get my stuff out and just standing there wiring for the bell I here "iris!"....I turn around but before I can see who it is she hugs me like she thought I was dead....she finally let's go and steps back and just looks at me...it's Cora...I've known her since middle school..."hey" she says perky and upset mixed together...."hey"......I we're sitting there when I some yell "iris"....and wrap her arm around me "hey girl...long time no see"..."hey rebecca"...I just met her the first year of highschool...."hey!".....we're all just sitting there when the bell rings and brings us back to reality..."well time for class" Rebecca says sarcastically...
after class we have some time to spare so we sit in the hallways...that's when I see tristen....we used to be best friends in junior high....but over the summer we stopped hanging out....she is a cheerleader now so we don't get along very well but none the less when she see's me she smiles but you can still see the years shes hiding....I want to ask her what's wrong but I'm out of time and time for class.....at the end of school I see her with her friends shes kinda laughing but still looks like she's been crying....so I go to ask her what's wrong....but cora catches up to me and starts talking a mile a minute about how we should have a study group...."I guess I'll ask her tomorrow"...I whisper under my voice while looking at her. I see rebecca hoping she'll talk to cora so I can talk to tristen but she doesn't...she gets Cora to calm down...but just cuz she wants to point out a boy to me!....but I try to tell her I'm not interested but then I see who she's pointing at....
