Well I've been wondering about this for a few years now. Thought I'd get some opinions from you guys. The kind of alien I'm referring to here is not necessarily the green kind. They could be big, small, invisible or otherworldly. See, like superman, he's an alien I'm sure you guys at one point would've wondered the same. For me, I thought 'why not?'. There could be a billion other intelligences in this universe for all we know. Microorganisms could even be the substance that make up one of these beings! (like cells to us) We could, for all we know happen to be an organ part of a giant being (eg. A kidney or heart) I could go on and on with my gazillion thoughts and jam up forums. But seriously. What are your thoughts on this and reasons for them?
My mom believes that aliens are humans from the future who have traveled back in time to prevent a horrible disaster that made them all ugly and deformed

Well there's aliens on this very planet, us. When the Earth was being made Mars was a planet which harboured bacteria, during this period asteroids cluttered our solar system and a scientist recently found a bacteria that can thrive in Arsenic, which has to belong to a different 'tree of life' as ours simply die from the effect of Arsenic replacing a part of DNA and destroying life. This Arsenic proof bacteria is likely Earth's natives as it's a less evolved life form and Earth is younger than Mars and it's very likely we're from Mars and an asteroid simply carried us to Earth where we evolved.
The conditions on earth are so precise and lucky that the chance of another planet worthy of supporting life as our own are very slim. Ad it stands, we can see all but 20% of the universe. It's not as big as everyone thinks.
