  1. Yesterday, my wife and I went out and bought a 9 week old Red Heeler puppy!  Her name is Suki.

This puppy is very curious and sleeps an awful lot! We went to the pets store to get advice about the dog, and they told us that a lot of puppies do 4 main things:
    1. Eat
    2. Sleep
    3. Play a tiny bit
    4. and poop
I would love to know if when you got a puppy how it acted right away!

As well as many of you know we have a year old cat

She seems to be taking the transition to having a dog in the house quite hard. She is a sweetheart normally, but now she just likes picking on the dog, even though the dog hasn't even payed any attention to her. How do we make the transition for her easier?

  2. keep showing your cat you still love her. Pet her and act normally with her.

  3. Hahah my cat and puppy were like this, then after a week they were Best pals, they would Wash eachother Play With eachother, i think the puppy thought he was cat!

  4. Yeah. It's rather common to see digs acting like cats. My cousin has a dog and when she adopted some kitties for the barn, the dog acted like their mother.

  5. My cat was like that.Used to sometimes smack him even though he was triple her size xD give them time, It's been a couple of months and mine get on okay now (It wasn't a puppy though,)

  6. Try to spend equal amounts of times with both puppy and cat, so he doesn't feel like he's being left out or replaced. Our cat pretty much stayed away from the puppy, but the puppy would approach him and it wasn't pretty at first :/ Now that our puppy is much bigger (4 month old Siberian Husky) they get along much better ;) give it time, it's a big adjustment for the cat as well, but it'll get better. Good luck and congrats on the new puppy, she's adorable! 

  7. Awww your puppy is so cute.

My friend's Puppy and Cat and Kittens all love each other.
The Cat treats the puppy like it's very own.

I think you got to give them an equal amount of attention and soon they'll be use to each other because your cat will understand that your Suki is a member of the Family too and isn't going anywhere.

  8. Lucky . Just give them time, that's all and equality between pets. 

  9. Awww, they are adorable

  11. \(^_^)/ bump for puppies!

  12. The cat is like "I want to sleep on the floor"

  13. Gorgeous pets!! 

You're cat is more likely not liking the changes... New house and new pet... Give him time to get used to all the new life and he'll be fine... Cats have a hard time with changes...

And it's normal for the puppy to sleep that much... It's like a newborn baby... All they do is sleep, eat, and poop... 

  14. Awww look at de cute puppppy!!
    And the cutee kittyy!!

  15. Latinmimi  I got two Siberian Huskies , but anyway Hermes :3 it's normal for a cat (or dog if it's switched around) to be a little aggressive towards the new animal in the house. New smell, new sent, new place, new everything for your cat especially if your cat has never interacted with a dog. But yes its completely normal, just give it time and they will hopefully become best friends 
