Guide to Posting Gifs

We should all know how to post a gif. I mean gifs make everything better, am I right?





DISCLAIMER
I am only demonstrating one method using the app, imgupr.


I only guarantee that this method will work if you have an Apple device.

DEFINITION

A graphic interchange format (gif), is a lossless format for image files that support both animated and static images.

FINDING A GIF

Finding a gif is simple, all you have to do is do a quick search on Google.
For example, when I want to praise someone for making a good thread I type "clapping gif" into the Google search bar. I then click on images and browse through several gifs before finding the one I want to use. It really is that simple.



To preview the gif just click on the image.

For the purpose of this guide I will be using the black and white crowd as an example.

GETTING THE LINK

Once you find the gif you want and you have clicked on it, you should see something like this:


Now you need the link to upload onto imgupr

To get the link, click on the three dots near the bottom, and then click "View Image"



You should be presented with something like this:


Copy the link at the top of the page



UPLOADING TO IMGUPR

Once you obtain the link of the gif you want to use, open up Imgupr and click on "From URL"


This is where the link you copied earlier comes in handy!
Paste the link into "URL of photo" and then click upload

Adding a title and description are optional

NEW LINK

Once the gif is done uploading you will see that you have several options. In this case, you will want to click "Copy Link"


Then click on "Original"


POSTING TO FORUMS

To post your handy, new gif onto forums, you must know what bb code to use to ensure it won't be too big/small.

Which is:
(imgfit)YOUR NEW LINK(/imgfit)

Switch the ( to [ for it to work

If you did this process correctly, you have now successfully posted a gif onto forums!

Though this may seem like a long process, it is completely worth it. If you noticed, Imgupr has a "My uploads" tab where you can access any gif you ever upload onto the app. That way, you don't have to go through this process again! All your gifs will be stored in one app for your convenience.
