This is a new story I am making up. Of you are wondering, I won't continue the 'Space Army' story. The plain story is about these two orphans and their story of how they are adopted. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lea Rose's POV Hello. I'm Lea Rose. I am currently 11 and I stay at the Hillside Grove (random name) orphanage. I moved in a the age of 6 when my parents and siblings died in a house fire. We never found out why the fire happened or where it started. But there is one thing about me you should know; I'm special. I have this weird ability to move things with my mind. Telekinesis, I think it is? But it happens rarely and only when I am scared out of my wits. Like that one time bullies cornered me a rock came flying at one of their faces protecting my one friend. Or one time when a light bulb smashed and scared away the same bullies about a year or two after. I haven't seen the powers yet. I guess you could say I isolate myself from others because of this. But there is my one and only friend. Her name is Jessica Waters. She is really nice and shy. It's funny, we two are best friends but we are also somewhat opposites. Sure yea, we only hang out with each other and stay away from everyone but I'm more of a Tomboy, not saying she is a girly girl. But I'm more punkish and into Dubstep and those kind of things. I often wear a black shirt and hoodie with jeans. I have a mix of brown, black and brownish-orange hair and a bang that covers one of my eyes that are brown. I also love my black headphones with neon red circles at the ends with the beats sign. I've been told my eyes turn red when I am mad or use my powers. I think that's why everyone dosent like me. Man... I don't know what I would do without Jessica... Jessica Water's POV H-Hello. I'm Jessica Waters. I think my Best Friend Lea told me about you. W-we treat each other like siblings and take care of each other. We met when I was being bullied and Lea stood up. I witnessed her throw a rock at one of the bullies that sent them scrambling. She then treated my injures. My other only friend is the owner of the Orphanage. She is sweet, gentle and kind to everyone and scolds the bullies like one time when they picked of me. I came here when I was 5. I am currently 11 and my parents died in a car crash on their way home in the night... I'm not sure but I think I overheard a cop saying to another that they were out at a bar... That must mean they must have... Oh my.... *Sigh* I-I miss them so much! I'm so lucky and thankful for someone like Lea to take care of me! Miss Smith, the owner gave us the same class's. Everyone has class for 3 hours each day starting at 9. On Monday we have Music. On Tuesday we have Science. Then Math, Social Studies and on Friday Language Arts. I... I just don't know what I would do without Lea...
Lea Rose's POV Lea looked out of the window at the sunset sky. She slowly opened her foot and looked out and then silently shut it. I opened the window and jumped off falling for 2 stories before landing on the ground. Lea does this almost every night so she knows how to get down safely without breaking her legs. Although the first time she almost did... The forest was always peace and quiet and nobody could tease her or watch there. She silently snuck trough the backyard passing the toy shack and jumping over the white picket fence. It was a windy night and Christmas was drawing near so snowflakes blew through the air but Lea payed no attention. She hugged herself and the black hoodie she had on. She walked into the forest that was nearby and always walked through. What she didn't know who was watching her. ???'s POV 2 people stood next to each other hand in hand, a boy and a girl. The girl looked and saw a familiar shape of Lea walking. She silently tugged at her boyfriend's sleeve. "Hm?" "Is that who I think it is?" The girl asked gesturing towards Lea. "Oh yea. The witch." "Ya know, we still haven't gave her a visit for hurting our henchmen." The girl smirked. The boy caught on. "Well... Let's go then." Lea Rose's POV Lea walked only to be stopped by two people blocking her path. She instantly jerked back and stopped her path of walking. Lea hid the disgust in her face. The two people in front of her were Jacob and Alissa, the popular- no wait, bully couple in the orphanage. They were both 15 years old and Lea was only 11. "Well. If it isn't the witch." Snorted Alissa. They both took and step closet and Lea instantly took a step back. She looked over and saw the boy pull out gasoline. "Where did you get that?" Lea asked. That greatly confused her and wondered how they would use that. "Well..." Do you know back in the past years, what they did to witches?" Jacob asked. Lea shook her head no. "They Burt them." Alissa said and Jacob showered Lea in gasoline. She instantly screamed but cut off when some got in her mouth. She rubbed her eyes, backing up and saw Alissa pull out a lighter. It was all clear now. Lea clenched her fists, for some reason she was more angry then scared. All the bullying, teasing, name-calling all flashed in her head. And it made her angry. Suddenly the ground started to shake. The couple stoped and looked around in confusion. "Your the bullies. If anything you guys are the witches and wizards!" Lea yelled. The two grew nervous. "Jacob. Let's run!" The two ran in the direction of the orphanage. Lea stoped what she was doing. Was she about to hurt them? She felt guilty and sad. Lea looked back at the orphanage. What was she to do? Will they tell? Lea suddenly sadder and a bit scared. She reluctantly headed back to find the two crying and telling Miss Smith how the earth shook and a few orphans around watching with curious and fear-filled eyes. They stopped and everyone looked at Lea.
Jessica Water's POV I went up to me and Lea's bedroom we shared and opened the door. I found Lea and her backpack full of clothes and other things. "What are you doing?" I asked her. Lea picked up the full backpack. "I'm leaving." She said. "What! Why? You can't! You will be caught!" I said in protest. "That's because I'm going into the forest." Lea reassured. She re-positioned her headphones and opened the window. "Wait!" I stopped her. Lea turned. "What?" She almost snapped. "I-I want to go with you!" I suddenly said. I don't know why I said that. They just came out. But now I realize, I sort of want to go with her... Lea stopped and turned to look at me. Her face was... Shocked? I never saw that expression on her before. "W-What?" She stuttered. "I want to go with you..." I almost said a whisper. "Are you... Sure?" She questioned. "Yes!" I awnsered. She looked down. "I-I just... Alright... I guess... You can come with me..." ~Timeskip~ Lea's POV Me and Jessica walked and ran through the forest for about who knows how long. About 12 hours, thoughts flying through my mind. "Am I considered wanted for this?" "What did I get Jessica into?" "Will I be able to provide for both of us?" I pushed the thoughts out of my head. I heard huffing from Jessica and came to a walk. "Thanks..." Jessica said. "No problem. The backpacks were slowing me down anyway." I pushed a branch out of my face and lit up. There was a lake in with water that looked clean. "Yes!" I almost yelled. Jessica cheered up too. "Water!" She ran over to it. "It's clean too!" Jessica exclaimed in cheer. I put down 2 of our backpacks that I was carrying full of clothes. Jessica dosent know but I hid a knife and a bow with arrows in my backpack so I can hunt. I didn't want to worry Jessica about being near weapons. I felt for sure that we would make it through. "We will mad it..." I whispered to myself. For once, a real smile came on my face.
Lea Rose's POV 3 days past since we left. We both were always starving and we slept in trees and continued into the forest. Jessica suggested going back but I always denied it. But one morning, somthing bad happened. "Hey Lea, do you ever get the thought of going back?" Jessica asked. "I do, but if we go I might go to juby...*sigh*" "I'm sure you Wouldent. Why say that?" "BECAUSE I THINK I ALMOST KILLED THE 2 BULLIES!" I suddenly shouted in a outburst of anger. But once I said that I instantly regretted it seeing the hurt and shock in Jessica's face and I realized she didn't hear what I did 3 days earlier. "You... What?" Her voice was almost a whisper. "I-I..." I was lost for words. Jessica slowly backed up. "You..." "I..." Before anyone of us could re-act somthing jumped from the trees around us and the world went black. (Sorry it's short I'm having a bad case of writers block... Ugh...)
Lea Rose's POV I woke up but somthing wasn't right... I felt soft sheets and I felt longing to tug on them forever. I suddenly remembered what happened and shot up instantly, breathing heavily. I was in a so-familiar room. "Your awake!" I heard a voice at the doorway of the room. It was Miss. Smith. "Miss Smith?" I asked. She rushed over and hugged me. "I was so-so-so worried! What happened to you? You disappeared and I had no idea where you or Jessica went." I then looked and saw Jessica sleeping in the other bed. I let out a sigh of relief. "You... Arnt mad?" I asked. "For what?" "The things... That Alissa told you..." "Silly! I can tell when she lies." Lea let out a another sigh of relief. Thank god. ~TimeSkip~ Me and Jessica were watching YouTube videos trying to ignore the stares from everyone. I think I was on the verge of crying from the spotlight. Miss. Smith came in and announced cheerfully. "A few people will come in here and adopt one of you. I expect you to get dressed and act your best!" Everyone ran off to get dressed but me and Jessica stayed where we were. We knew we Wouldent be adopted. Ha! Who would want- STOP PUTTING YOURSELF DOWN! Sorry... Well. Like I was doing we stayed where we were. ~Timeskip, Jessica Water's POV~ Me, Lea and other orphans were lined up waiting to see the people come in. A couple came in. They looked friendly and cheered me up a bit. I wondered what would happen if they choose one of us. Me and Lea made a pact that we Wouldent be separated no matter what. I guess that was the reason why I went with her when we left... "This is Mrs. and Mr. Bay. First they will all get interviews from you guys. You may run where you will and awnser truthfully to their questions." Miss Smith said. Me and Lea went back to our video. A while later we saw the couple walking towards us.
Jessica Water's POV Oh god. Oh oh oh god... There coming towards us. I nudged Ria who was beside me. She saw the people. "Oh!" Lea jumped and took off her earbuds and turned to the people. "Hello. Who are you?" The woman asked. "I'm Jessica Waters and this is my friend, Lea Rose." I awnsered and gesture to Lea. "Alright. I'm Tim and this is my wife, Melody." Said Tim. "As you know we are going to adopt a orphan here. Do you mind giving us a little bio?" Melody asked. "As you already know my name I was born in a little suburb-like area near a lake. I lived like any normal girl and my parents died in a car crash. I like music and fantasy books." I said giving a small bio. They nodded and looked at Lea. Family is a very touchy subject to Lea. ~Flashback~ Me and some other orphans were eating dinner at the kitchen and we stumbled across the subject of past life and family. When one of the orphans asked Lea. "Hey Lea. What about your parents? Who were they?" "What did they look like?" "How did they act?" They all asked. "Well... Ummm... I... They..." Lea stumbled for words. I could tell her struggle. "Well?" One asked, bugging her. "What where they like?" Lea suddenly got up her face with a mix of, sorrow, pain and... anger. "SHUT UP! GOD. YOUR ANNOYING." She shouted and ran off leaving her meal behind. ~Flashback ending~ I shuttered a bit. "Well... Ummm... I..." She started. I then booted in. "Family and past like if difficult for her. But Lea is a very good friend and she loves dubstep, technology and YouTube. Sorry mister and miss, we got to go right now." I took Lea's hand and ran away with her following me. She gave me a look of gratitude and thanks. I smiled and we stopped in one of the hallways to our room. ~Melody Bay's POV, Timeskip~ I was wondering around the orphanage daydreaming and thinking. I turned the corner and was met with a unfair sight. 2 orphans were against the wall surrounded by 8 other older people. I reconized the two victims: Lea and Jessica. Lea was sitting against the wall and Jessica looked unconscious in Lea's lap almost like when you held a baby, both of their heads against a wall. "Don't you dare..." Lea muttered before getting a hit by one of the bullies. I gasped at what happened next. Lea's eyes- I think it was her, turned red and they all were flung in the other way of mine down the hall and they scrambles away. Lea's eyes turned to normal and she set a deep sigh, before falling into unconsciousness. Oh. My. God. We are so adopting those orphans!
Lea Rose's POV "Ow, Lea-! Ow!" Cries Jessica as I dabbed rubbing alcohol over her closed black eye. "Calm down. If you stop moving it won't hurt as much." I talked back. "But you shouldn't be doing this. It was my fault. I led us away from the Bays right into the bullies. It's not my fault I'm a-" "Stop talking like that! You hear me?" I cut her off. Jessica nodded and started to get up off of the bed in our bedrooms. "Sit. Down." I said brusquely, my eyes flashing red. Jessica made a little 'meep' sound and sat down. Alright, I admit it. I can be a little scary at times... ~Timeskip, Jessica Waters~ Me and the other orphans were lined up waiting impatiently for Mrs. Smith and the Bays to come out. Everyone stoped what they were doing and instantly stood straight trying to look their best. "Alright, everyone. The orphans being adopted today are:" I held my breath. "Lea Rose and Jessica Waters!" Me and Jessica froze. A few orphans said 'awww's or sighed in defeat, while others were like: "THEM?" I looked at Lea. It was surprising. Her face was in a big grin and then she burst out in joy "OHMYGAWSHTHANKYOUSOMUCHWEWILLBERIGHTBACKTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHSNKYOUSOMUCH!" She grabbed my hand and we sped down the hall, laughing. I honestly never saw Lea act like that. I was shocked and happy at the same time. Freedom from this orphanage! We ran past one of the teachers. "Huh? Hey! Why are you two running!" She scolded. We just ignored her. "We've been adopted!" I responded and ran to our rooms. "Where are my headphones?" "Under your bed. "Where's my laptop?" "On your desk. Hey, where's my glasses?" "On your beside table." "Thanks." "No problem!" We half walked half ran back over to the entrance. "Sorry we took so long." I apologized. "No problem! Come on, we have some people we want you to meet." We exited and were greeted by two people. One boy who looked like he was 16 wearing a white t-shirt and jeans. He had brown hair and green eyes with black and brown sneakers. While there was a girl looking about 7 beside him wearing a white shirt and skirt with a blue un-zippered jacket with uggs. She had blonde hair with blue eyes. "Lea and Jessica. This is our two children, Chloe and Will. Chloe, Will this is Lea and Jessica." "Hi." I said. Lea just sheepishly waved. "Does she talk?" I hear Will ask Melody quietly. I don't think anyone else heard but me and Melody. "Yes. She is just a bit shy, that's all." "Well... I CALL SHOTGUN!" Shouted Chloe, running to the car. "IM DRIVING THEN!" Shouted Will chasing after her. Melody and Tim started walk motioning us to follow. "ME AND JESSICA SIT IN THE BACK THEN!" Lea shouted grabbing my hand and dashing to the car. Chloe and Will 'meeped' when Lea ran past them with astonished looked on their faces. Man, I think me and Lea will like our new lives.
