Prologue "Marry me, Leann, that way we'll always be together." Leann looked up at the older boy, six years older, to be exact. He was taller than many and was lean. He had messy dark hair that fell into his face and bright blue eyes. His smile was childish and he was what girls would call guys at that age... "cute" "Marry? But I'm only six!" she giggled and she held up six fingers to show him. "But I love you," he laughed. "I love you too," she said smiling. Of course it was all innocent, but that was the way things were between them. "So you'll marry me then?" he asked. "Yup!" He grinned and leaned over to softly kiss her. He was no expert, but merely placed his lips on hers before quickly pulling away. "I love you!" he said, still grinning. "Me too Mackenzie!" 6 years later... "Leann, why do you look so upset lately?" asked her friend, Linnea. "Mackenzie has gone away to college... He left with out saying good bye!" she shouted angrily. "Stupid idiot! He doesn't even talk to me anymore... It's like he's forgotten..." "Forgotten what?" Leann touched the small silver ring that was placed on her ring finger. It was the ring from their so-called "wedding". "Never mind," she said quietly and went back to eating her lunch. "Wait! Are all the grade seven students in there?!" shouted a voice from outside the door. Leann looked up and towards the door. "That voice!" she quickly stood up and ran towards it. Just as she got there the door swung open and she came face to face to a tall and lean man with dark hair and bright eyes. He was handsome now, and didn't look childish anymore. "Leann!" he shouted and he threw his arms around her. "M-Mackenzie?!" "I forgot to say goodbye! I'm sorry! It slipped my mind!" "It's okay..." "Is that your boyfriend Leann?!" shouted a girl from one of the tables. "I'm more than that! I'm her husband!" he shouted and he grinned. "IDIOT!! We aren't! We hot married when we were younger... We aren't actually married," She said quietly. "But you still wear the ring I gave you," he said lifting her hand. "Shut up! I just like it... That's all. It has nothing to do with that!" she shouted, her face bright red. "Yeah yeah. Well, I leave in an hour Leann... I'll see you when I get back," he said smiling and he quickly kissed her cheek before running out of the room. He'd be back... He thought of her as a child... But since that exact moment... Her friendly feelings toward him... turned to romantic...
