βlɑck A͜cϮioƞ "As of now, the Auction takes place. Use of cell phones, cameras and or other recording devices is strictly prohibited for the audiences benefits," A brawny voice said as the dark red curtain was whisked away to the sides of a stage decorated with small flowers, tulips? A few people in gaudy costumes were lined up, linked together by an assortment of chains. They were all gaunt looking and liked to look at the floor. None of which I would like to purchase. The one I was after was in the far left corner, blindfolded in a pale pink cage with ivy and tulips intertwined into the spaced bars. She was wearing a rather plain gown compared to the others and her face remained expressionless. She would be presented as tonight's 'crown jewel' and sold for over a million pounds, if not more. I had already picked out a name for her, 'Ai', which ment 'love' in Japanese. I would call her this regardless of her name. "I'd like to present the first item, he is a small fellow, but he has high stamina so he would be very useful for labor. The bidding will start as twenty thousand pounds," The auctioneer, now visible walked up to the first in the line of unlucky fellows. As the bidding started, I watched my girl, Ai, tilt her head slitely. She was probably just walking up after being intoxicated with drugs. Poor girl. "Now that all of tonight's minor items have been sold, let's get on to the main event, shall we?" The auctioneer fiddled with his pearly white mask before addressing Ai, who was being brought to the center of the stage by two women dressed in provocative bunny comstumes. The mouth of Ai was somewhat lopsided, as if she was still trying to figure out what what happening or maybe even thinking of a way out. "The crown jewel of this auction is a half Japanese woman about the age of seventeen. She has rather beautiful deep blue eyes and she is, in fact, a virgin," The auctioneer patted his gloved hands on Ai's cage, "The auction will start at 500 thousand pounds." "600!" "650!" "800!" "900!" The audience was bidding so fast, the auctioneer couldn't even keep up. "2 million!" This was where I had to enter the race. "2 and a half million!" My voice was bold and loud, just what I needed. "3 million!" "4 million!" I challenged. "10 million!" This was not good. I could not pay over 10 million. If I dared, I would be financially ruined. "10 million!? Going once, going twice, SOLD TO THIS GRACIOUS MAN!" The auctioneer was obviously excited. What a greedy man. My beautiful Ai, she will probably be dead by tomorrow, because I couldn't save her. The auctioneer opened the cage to lead Ai to the man who had boughten her. Before I knew what was happening, I was running with Ai in my arms, away from the place.
This... Wow. This is extremely good, because it's not in a cheerful setting! I CAN'T WAIT for the next part! BUMPITY!
CHAPTER 2 I leaned up against a blue painted wall. I had ran to the nearest building I could find, a cheap motel called 'The Pink Flamingo' with a florescent pink flamingo atop the roof. I placed Ai in the only bed, I could sleep in the bath tub for all I cared. She was asleep by the time I reached the motel and checked us in as Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Wafflebottom, although my real name is Takashima Kirie, thanks to my parents for having my name sound like a girl. Yes, I am Japanese, half Japanese anyway. "Where am I?" A soft and sleepy voice asked. Ai was finally awake. "The Pink Flamingo," I turned to face her. "What?" She mumbled, taking a handful of the quilt that was on her and pushing it aside, revealing that she was still in her gown the auction monkeys dressed her in. "Your at The Pink Flamingo, a motel," I repeated myself. I wondered if they drugged her, or maybe she was in shock? "What happened?" Ai looked up at me with her round, midnight-blue eyes. Her salt-and-pepper hair was cut short in the back and long in the front, complimenting her square-structured face. "Hello? Do you know what happened, Mister?" Ai repeated. "Oh yes, you were sold in auction," Dang, I must have gone into a daydream. "Huh?" Ai's eyes grew wider, if that was possible. She was confused, no, flustered, shocked? "Sold in auction?" She repeated my words. "Exactly," I tried to act nonchalant. "To whom?" She looked around fearfully and grabbed back the quilt to guard her. "I dunno," I resumed my facade and pulled up a chair to sit on. Ai settled down. "Excuse me Mister, you saved me, right?" She slowly approached me, eyes full of bubbling curiousity. She reminded of a small bird, a finch. One that is stricken with instant horror and shyness upon meeting, then depending on the person once trust is established. "I guess so," I smirked at what my stupidness could lead me to. If I wasn't careful, I could be floating around somewhere in Dawdee Bay, a small, but deep bay the infamous city of Wes. Ai hung her head, as if thinking deeply of how to respond to this situation. "Mister, do you know who I am?" Ai tilted her head, very cutely might I add, and let out a small smile, no, a smirk. "You are Ai, my lover," I leaned back on the cheaply painted chair. "Incorrect," She placed her feet on the floor and stood up, swaggering. The gown, pale, simple and snow-white, hung at her hips and the small frills around the sleeve cuffs stood out. Her response left me unsatisfied. "Well, if you're going to be like that, that would be a question for me to ask. So, who are you?" I opposed. "I am Lady Mimiya Aoi, second daughter of Earl Mimiya Tamahi and Lady Jeanette Mimiya," She grinned at me very creepily. Her eyes danced joyfully, bulging despite the grin pushing her cheeks up. "No, what you are, is delusional," I spat. Truthfully, she was downright scary. It was like she jumped right out of a horror movie. "Do you dare question my heritage?" Her grin stretched into an ugly grimance. No, about the finch, she was more like a Venus fly trap.
CHAPTER 3 "I believe I do dare," I protested. "You'll regret this," Aoi-chan started taking small, sideways footsteps toward the door. "I regret nothing," I realized I was standing with the chair I had been sitting on tipped over on it's side. "Is that so?" Aoi stopped in her steps. "Meanwhile, the whole black market is looking for both me and you," I brought up the one point I had to make her stay by my side. Aoi just cringed. "So, I guess you just have no choice but to stay with me, Ai-chan ,"I added dramatic hand motions to this comment. I could feel my mouth curl up into a smile, letting out a short laugh for my apparent victory. Ai would be mine. All mine. "Why don't we just get out of the country?" Ai argued, folding her arms in protest. "Don't be silly, they've got monkeys stationed at airports for sure," I was never going to let my Ai get out of my sight. Was this what some people called an obsessive love? Or maybe to the point of a stalker? In any case, it was addictive. Aoi's clinched her unnaturally white and straight teeth. "Well, how about talking to the authorities?" Aoi suggested, sitting upon the bed and rolling her head to face me. "I won't let you," I said darkly after realizing there was no reason not to alert the police of our crisis. Aoi stared at me blankly, her mouth slightly ajar. "Because you are mine," I added, taking in a mouthful of air and exhaling in the complete silence. "Okay now you're the delusional one here," Aoi broke the silence after it became eerie. "You think so?" I found myself standing above Aoi, looking down into her wide, concentrated eyes. "I do think so," She looked directly into my eyes. I admired her confidence. I leaned down and kissed her on her full and fruity-tasting lips. When I retracted, Aoi looked down at her feet, back up to me. That was when I noticed her face turned beat red.
I like it. A lot. It's a terrific new topic. I'm glad someone came up with a new story line. Update again?
CHAPTER 4 The next thing I felt was a cold slap in the face. "Ow...," I attempted to rub off the pain. "You reap what you sow," She muttered darkly. "Well, still you shouldn't have..." A loud banging sound interrupted my counter. "OPEN UP OR I KNOCK THE DOOR DOWN!" A deep voice bellowed. I let out a sharp Eep and shielded Aoi with my own body, or that was what I intended to do. In actuality, I was clinging to her front and recieving several more slaps from the witch-like girl. "Who are they?" She whispered after I recovered feeling to my face. "Probably auction monkeys," I whispered back, peeking through the convenient little eye hole on the door. "Monkeys?" She just had to ask. "Yea, you know how their limbs are so buffed up, making them look like gorillas?" I began. "Then why don"t you call them Gorillas?" She stayed on the topic of the auctioneers much longer than I had wished. "Because that sounds like guerillas, and that makes them seem higher in society than they actually are," I hissed. The black-coated auction monkeys continued to bang on the door and yell incoherently. "Go, jump," I pointed Aoi to the balcony. She ran halfway across the room before spinning around to hiss "We're on the third level." "Better than getting sold and potentially ed to death," I waved her to the balcony. The banging became louder and I had to push the door back with all my might. Ai hesitated. "Just go, they're gonna break through at any time," I noticed the door's bottom curve, giving in to the pressure. "Fine, see ya in the afterlife, if there's any," She said coldly before opening the balconey door, stepping outside and jumping, her white dress trailing like a ghost behind her. My hands were burning after holding the door knob for so long. "I'M BUSTING IN!" The monkeys yelled the deadly, legible words just as I released the knob, unable to cope with my burning hands. I remember flying through the room, through the door and off the balcony, but after that, is complete darkness to me.
