  1. This is a thread defining the troll and it's many forms.

    The original troll- The original troll is a person who goes onto an online communication board (forums, chat boards, etc.) and tries eliciting a negative response from every single soul who posts. This troll is outdated and is more commonly refer to as an asshole. PiMD example: PWND_CROSSF1RE

    The new troll- The new troll has grown to realize that being an asshole proves no benefit to the troll or the community. This troll will flame a person who goes against the "netiquette" that the people of the forums hold. If you are persistent in annoying this troll, it will revert back to the original troll because you deserve it at that point. The goal of the new troll is to help people avoid making the same mistake twice.

    The fail-troll- There are two types of fail trolls: the original troll and the idiot. The original troll is generally frowned upon by everyone. Their comments are often hurtful and make people all butthurt. The idiot tried trolling, but ends up failing in a worse way than whoever they are trolling in the first place. PiMD example of the idiot: Garret_17. He attempts to chastise the people who generally annoy the community, but when he does it, it's more annoying than it would have been of it had just been left alone.

  16. What's so special about trolling anyways? I see it as a way of offending others for no reason at all. If you don't like something ignore it, but don't make others feel bad.
