  1. I need to get fit for the army. I've tried several times to get up and start running and lifting weights but after a few weeks i quit. My problem is i lack motivation. What i want to know is what motivates you to exercise? Maybe i could figure out something to motivate me from your input.

  2. Try some kind of dance 
     
  3. Think of someone you love. Like a gf/bf, and think how much they are depending on you.
     
  4. Well personally my motivation is to be able to perform better in the sports that I do. Also, it's always good to have a nice body  For the ladies 

  8. Saving lives bro, take up a martial art. Tae kwon do helps with focus. And you get fitter and hand to hand experience

  10. I run atleast 3x a week. When I started I had to push myself but soon I felt differently.

    Everytime I run, I push a little further, run a little faster. I keep track of my progress and time my runs as well as measure the distance. It helps me to see that the hard work is paying off.

    And honestly, the endorphins your body releases after a run make you feel awesome! I listen to pumped up music when I run for inspiration.

    If you're just starting I suggest doing interval runs. Walk five minutes, run two, walk five, and continue. Next time switch it up, walk 3, run 4, walk 3. Keep changing until you just have your warm up, run, and cool down. Go slowly and trust what your body tells you it can do.


    Just for informations sake, I also think lots of other activities are a great way to exercise and enjoy yourself too! I love many different sports, as well as yoga, and cardio. Although horseback riding is where my hearts at. Keeps you toned haha!

    Anyways, that's my two cents. 
     
  11. For running, run interval miles. Jog 1/4 mile, then sprint the next 1/4, then jog the next 1/4, then sprint your hardest the last 1/4

I think you should set a goal..that's what I did n once I reached my goal I focused on maintaining it how often do you workout?i personally think you should try going everyday 1-2hours a day but try switching between upper body and lower body everyday that gives ur other half of ur body a day of rest also try to do a lot of cardio that while help u lose weight n help tone ur body..set a goal buddy n don't lose focus till u reach it..make it a reachable goal though not something impossible.. You know yourself best.
     
  13. I do medium weight weightlifting (around 200 lbs bench press for me) and intense cardio a few times a week.
     
  14. I do 90lbs weightlifting.

    Not bad at 13. 

  16. Your drill sergeant will be all the motivation you'll need. Trust me...
     
  17. I know lol but i need to get a bit fitter than i am before i go in that way the army training wont affect me to bad but it'll still be enough to kill me i know that lol and thanks for your input guys :)
     
  18. Play very active sports like tennis or rugby, they'll get your heart racing and your muscles developing
