C'mon people give the girl a break. Cheerleaders being sluts is a stereotype. Not all of them are like that. some actually have brains lmao
Cheerleaders are human beings. They should never be discriminated. Cheerleading is a sport that many others deem it not to be one. It is something out of the ordinary and something that many don't try. Cheerleaders have feelings too. It is just like how you can have feelings with that nerdy guy or how you have feelings for that overweight lady. Yes, indeed many cheerleaders are open-minded. But you can't say a whole basket of apples turned bad just because of one rotten apple. I think cheerleaders deserve their respect from fellow human beings. It is like mutual respect. Many does not appreciate the sport but not many knows the toughness of the sport, the risk and possible injuries of it. They trained hard for the things they liked, and just this is enough to gain them the respect they deserved. P.s : you've got fellow cheerleaders backing you up! Stay strong and proud to be a cheerleader!
It isnt if anyone can do it, it isn't a sport. Its POSSIBLY a sport when you have a competition with another group, but on the sideline for football? No, not a sport.
Not just anyone can do cheerleading, it's extremely competitive and takes a lot of training. There are also cheerleading competitions at the college level.
I was a cheerleader in jr high an i was way different then most of the girls on the squad we arnt bad at all but please dont compare us to grace she has turned into a slût
Last year there was a competition and a few girls decided to wear mini skrts and tank tops then throw pom poms at the boys. It was ridiculous.
Actually, v0ltz, one rotten piece of fruit in a group of fruit will start to turn the rest bad due to the gas the fruit gives off. Not a great analogy. But this really is a ridiculous thread. Of course there are people who defy the stereotype! That's true with every stereotype! However, the OP just perpetuates the stereotype that cheerleaders are stupid with her poorly written post. As for cheerleading being a sport, it is not. A Connecticut judge ruled about 1-2 years ago that cheerleading is not a sport. This sent a shock through colleges because many universities were using cheerleading to fulfill their Title 9 requirement. NCA and UCA are working on this, though. They are trying to create a game called STUNT (at least that is what NCA calls it) that is set up like a sporting event and that takes away the subjective aspect of judging. It has 4 quarters: partner stunting, tumbling, pyramids and basket tosses, and your routine. You all perform the exact same stunts and tumbling side by side and are judged against each other. The only thing that varies is your routine. The squad that performs the best in each round gets points. From my experience participating in the first ever STUNT games last year, it is a lot of fun, but a lot of work. If you're interested, check it out online! [:
