Emma I look up and out my window, sitting up with a small groan. I hardly slept last night. The images of Elijah had kept me awake. What was it about him.. Why couldn't I stop thinking about him? He was rude, cruel, acted so tough and cool all the time. Then this little flutter would shake around in my chest when I walked past him, or when he looked at me. I slowly crawled out of bed, and yawned walking to the kitchen to grab some breakfast. Quinn looked up at me from the table, his mouth full of cereal. "Hey squirt." I smirked walking past him to mess up his hair before getting into the fridge. He slapped at my hands with a little glare. "Cut it out Em, it took me five minutes to get my hair this spiky." He said trying to fix his mess up light brown curls. I rolled my eyes, looking around in the fridge, seeing nothing good. "Oh excuse me, were is dad?" I asked hopping up on the counter with a sigh, picking up a banana. "Were is he always, in his office, why, you going out to meet up with Salrion?" Quinn smirked. "No I'm going to school, to sit in detention." I said rolling my eyes again. "What did you do?" Quinn said looking at me with surprise, but doubt. "I didn't do anything, some jerk got me in trouble." I muttered. A very handsome and mysterious jerk. Quinn laughed. "I should have guessed, my good, sweet big Sid would never do anything wrong, I'm the troubled child." He said jabbing his spoon in my direction. "Right, so tell dad that's were I'll be. See you squirt." I said and jumped off the counter walking out to get in my car. So let's get this over with.
Elijah's Pov. Why did she have to look at me like that! So unreadable, so mysterious, it was killing me to stay so close yet be so silent. My eyes glanced from the ticking clock to her face. But nothing would change, not the clock, or her complete blank expression. Finally the teacher filling in for our dead teacher had excused herself to the bathroom and I slammed my hands down on my desk glaring at her making her jump. "What is your problem?" I barked. Her eyes widened. "Me?! What's my problem? What's yours?!" She snapped back coldly. Salrion's pov I leaned against the wall, waiting for Emma to come out of detention when I heard something. I strained my senses out farther. In the distance I could hear yelling. On instinct I ran towards the noise to see a boy, and a pretty girl yelling back and forth at each other. I stayed quiet, watching for any sign I would have to step into help. "No Chris forget it, we are over!" The pretty girl yelled. The boy's face now became angered and I watched his movements become harsh. Quickly I acted getting in the middle glaring down at the boy. "Just leave her alone." I said and was surprised to see the boy shrink back instantly. He threw me and the girl a glare before walking swiftly away. I turned to the girl. "I'm sorry, are you ok?" I asked looking her over. She kept her eyes in the ground her hands tightened into fists. "I think so." She said weakly. "What's your name?" I couldn't help but ask. I had never seen her around here before. Now she looked up at me shocking me with two orbs of rich purple. "Miranda." She said locking her eyes on me. At her look I felt myself fall under a powerful feeling, it made my body move in ways that I would never. I no longer had control at all, and the longer I stared into her strange eyes the more I changed. Her hands now cupped my cheeks. "Thank you kind sir, for saving me." She said in a voice as sweet as honey. I shivered, gulping as I watched her. This was wrong I knew it was, but I couldn't help myself, this hold on my was making it impossible to think clearing. And like I was being controlled I leaned down reluctantly capturing her lips in a passionate kiss. Emma's Pov Elijah had suddenly stopped his annoying yelling and nagging and was watching out the window with a smirk. I was now beginning to wonder what was so damn interesting. Without even a word I stood up and looked our the window to gasp in horror and heart break. It was Salrion, locked in a kiss with some pretty bimbo. I began to gasp for breath as sobs shook through me. I ran. I didn't know were I was going. But I had to get away from this sight. The farther the better. My heart continued to break as the image of Salrion continued to float in my mind. Why me?
