  1. In the city of Rifthaven killing was common. Different guilds of assassins ran the city and constantly waged war. The citizens often payed the toll but they still remained
One guild in particular held most of the power within its grasp. They had achieved this feat by getting the citizens on their side. Their ranks were consisted of highly trained assassins skilled in the art of stealth and different fighting styles and weapons. Perhaps the best in the guild was Salrion Grayson.
For Salrion killing wasn't just sending a blade through someones heart. It was a way of life. An art. His blade the brush and the victim the masterpiece. Salrion killed who, how, and when he was told. He wasnt heartless however. He had feelings and often felt regret for his victims.
During the day he walked as a normal man. He was kind and caring. He often helped the citizens with their problems. During the night however. He became the Moonlight Assassin....

  4. -Salrion quickly leaped from the rooftop and grabbed the ledge of another one. He quickly pulled himself up and resumed his sprint. He pulled his hood and mask up so only his eyes were showing. His mottled assassin grays kept the bite of the cold wind out.
He was searching for his next target. She was suppose to be out on a walk in the park. He was to find her and end her life. Plain and simple. He kept leaping from rooftop to rooftop until the park came into view.
He jumped from the roof and landed nimbly on the soft grass. He then began moving with the shadows creeping through the open. He was nearly invisible, a shadow. He saw the figure up ahead and stood upright. He crept closer and closer. The girl turned when he was only five feet away. Her figure was near perfect and her face that of an angels. He long curly brown hair reached her shoulders.
Her sparkling green eyes met his. Salrion stopped frozen. For a second he though he saw a brief flash of understanding in the girls eyes. It was clear she knew he was an assassin but there was something more. It was as if she understood what he went through. Why he does it.
He stared into those sparkling green eyes for a long moment before turning around and sprinting off. He couldn't kill this girl. He just couldn't....

  11. Salrion walked into the guild and was immediately met by Lucien, the guilds leader.

"Grayson! Is she dead?" Lucien asked.

Salrion nodded grimly. "It is done," he lied. Lucien was about to ask another question but Salrion walked past him and down the hall to his quarters. He entered and shut and locked the door behind him. He took all his weapons off, a sword, two daggers, a bow, six throwing knives, many vials of poison, and a hidden blade and laid them on the table. He plopped down on the bed and sighed. He stated up at the ceiling still thinking about those green eyes. He was positive he saw understanding in them. He knew he had to find her again. He just didn't know how. He stayed up for a long time thinking before drifting off to sleep.

Salrion awoke the next morning and yawned standing up. He put all his weapons back on and exited his quarters. He slipped out of the guild unnoticed and began walking the streets with the citizens. People paid him no mind. It was common for people to carry weapons in this city. He stopped at a food stall and bought an apple tossing the keeper a coin. He bit into the apple and walked further down the street. He stopped staring ahead in disbelief. A little bit in front of him was the girl from last night. She was even more beautiful in the light. He stepped closer blending with the crowd. When she was only about twenty feet from him he glanced up and saw a sight that made his face go pale. Up on the roof was another assassin from his own guild and his target was clear. The girl....
