Something Missing

"I love you. I really love you," I whispered as I took Mr.Cartier's hand in mine. I felt light tears fall down my cheeks. "This wasn't supposed to happen you know... I'm so sorry about everything... Truly. I love you," I said once more before I stood up, sighed and nodded to the nurse. "I'm done," I said and I left.

"So? How'd it go?" asked Jillian.

"He's still in a coma Jillian," said Josh. "I doubt he'll be waking up anytime soon. He suddenly paused and looked at me. "Sorry," he said.

"Sorry?"

"Eh heh! Never mind!" he said. " So what exactly did you do?" he asked. "You were in there a while."

"I told him I loved him. Over and over again like there was no tomorrow," I laughed.

"I'm sure he'll accept your feelings," said Josh.

I laughed. "Since when has he ever accepted my feelings?! Never... So why would he accept them now?" I asked.

"I'm just trying to be optimistic, and you should too."

"Haha yeah right!" I laughed.

I watched as he looked at Jillian and blushed. I smiled. I couldn't believe how dense they were about their feelings for each other.

"Seduce him."

"Josh... what are you taking about?" asked Jillian.

"Make him fall in love with you! Show him how much you care and go and get him!"

"Not unless you do it first," I whispered.

"What?"

"Haha... It's nothing. Never mind."

"Well I'm hungry! Let's go out and get something to eat!" he said as he stretched his arms behind his back.

"I'll go if you buy!" laughed Jillian and the two of them ran off ahead of me.

To be one hundred percent truthful... The two of the made me feel less lonely... But also made me feel like the loneliest person of all... It's difficult to explain but for some reason I both felt warm and hurt around them...
