For What It's Worth

Nothing will probably come out off this but I'll do it anyway. It took me long becos I've been unmotivated by the fact that I doubt it will change anything but I've written this email to voice my concerns to the devs feel free to leave a comment whether good or bad



"I'm not writing this to tell you how much I hate the new update, I'm sure you'll agree it's been done enough. However I would like to state that I think it was a big mistake.


I would like highlight some problems you may not have foresaw or taken into consideration which have been brought on by this new update.

1. Recession
Exchanging credits for cash was a fiscal stimulous for the community and the tutor market and due to the change in the exchange rate the community of pimd will see a great recession. Far less players will be buying credits to exchange for cash if ANY at all.

2. Frozen Assets
No one will deny that having tutors is an asset but all with tutors before the update is pretty much out of pocket with their cash stuck in tutors that are overpriced according to post update market value and many of said tutors small and large have quit because it now seems impossible to make progress.


3. The Limited Market
You claimed you used foresight as reasoning for the changes made saying "that in the long run it will better the market". Here's what I foresee happening, the market will come to a stand still with very few players gaining more than 85kcs which is 32 dorms filled with Tier3 crew members at level4. And to top it off with the current market value of tutors for the time and effort you have to put into a volley it yields nothing or peanuts which ineffect makes it kinda pointless. The same goes for trading tutors. Many players with foresight have stopped volleying and the like.


4. Patronising Smaller Players
On the surface it may seem like your helping non-paying players by making dorms cheaper but with dorms prices being disproportionate compared to crew members it's an insult. It cost less to attain all 32 dorms than it does to buy and upgrade a tier4 to level4. And on top off that your giving them false hope. This new update makes it way to expensive to hire a tier4 crew member and to hard to make the money to do so because volleying is now worthless. Unless they are willing and prepared to spend loads off money it will take them forever to lcbc while your making them think it's within their reach.

5. The Remedy
Many is asking to be refunded and while that would be a kind gesture I don't think it's the solution for the sole reason that the tutor market will still be limited. In no way would I suggest bringing dorm prices back up and keep exchange rate down that would kill the market even more and completely eliminate progress for smaller players. Neither am suggesting the opposite which is to keep dorms prices down and raise exchange rate as good as it sounds it will create a flood lcbc's and make the market lose whatever value it has left. What I'd suggest is the only thing that makes sense to me and that is to revert back to before the update put dorm prices back up and exchange rate along with it. That way the limit on the market will be lifted, volleys will be worth while again, same goes for trading tutors and bobs your uncle everyone's happy.

As for the smaller a little hard work never killed anyone, ..well not that I know off and nothing that comes to easy ain't worth keeping. That's just my two cents.
