------ Daniel pulled me off his bike and rushe me into an abandoned warehouse. "GAAH!" He pushed me down, and collapsed on the floor, panting. The poor lad was sweating, shutting his eyes, grasping his stomach. As I removed his arm forcefully, I saw a bleeding wound in his stomach. "Oh no..." ------ --flashback-- "AH!" I was on the motorbike, one of the three men was chasing after us on a motorbike of his own, and had carried a pistol with him. He was aiming at me, but as I screamed, Daniel had switched positions with me quickly and protected me from the bullet. I kept driving, not knowing where to go until we reached that unknown destination. He was catching up, and I was screaming. It was horrifying, a near-death experience. Daniel had pulled out a pistol of his own, and shot one of his tires. I kept screaming of course, not knowing what I was supposed to do but drive. ------- ... And that was what had happened... He pushed me off the motorbike and dragged me in the warehouse, and now he was... Suffering. Because of me. Being the worry-rat I am, I always carried an emergency first-aid kit. Daniel had put his arm back on his stomach, and I put it away, wiping his sweat with my hankerchief and looking at his wound. The bullet wasn't too deep, which was a relief. My dad used to be a cop, and he had taught me how to take a bullet out if I ever got hit by one. And now, this was the perfect time to show off my skills. "..." ------ Taking out that darned bullet, I bandage his wounds and wiped away his sweat. His shirt was soaked with his sweat, and he was sleeping peacefully. His blonde hair, and his white skin almost made him look like an angel. He was cute, but I quickly threw away that thought. "..." ----- =_=. Tired.
------ "... Where am I?" Waking up, in an abandoned warehouse. The realization hit me like a bullet, and I yelled out Chrystaline's name. "I'm over here." Chrystaline was right beside me, lying on the pile of boxes and staring straight out at more of them. It was dark in here, and quiet. I could see the silouhette of her almost perfect figure, and hear the tears that hit the floor. "..." Looking at her closely, she was clutching her stomach, crying silently in the dark. "Chrystaline?" Chrystaline Jackson, the annoying school rebel, was crying right beside me. It was a rare sight, a tough young lady breaking down right in front of you for an unknown reason. "Chrystalline, why-" She shushed me and hiccuped. "Wouldn't you be afraid of a near-death experience...?" It was a late reaction, I got it now. "... No." Chrystalline faced me, her eyes red and her face shaken with fear and surprise. "What?" "This wasn't the first time I've experienced such outrage. I've been a target for years, it's natural for me." She kept hiccuping, yet her eyes never looked away from me. "Wha- what?" "I can't say anymore, I'm afraid. I apologize." It was painful, to know I dragged an entirely innocent human being into this piece of crap. My personal hell, this really was. I couldn't believe it. It seems that everywhere I go, they were always on my trail, hunting me. "..." She turned away from me, her hand on her stomach, her hiccups never ceased to end. "..." It was painful as well, resisting the ruge to just attack her and kill her. It was in my blood, and I was ashamed of it. Being who I was, getting this near to a human other than... Her, was indiscriminate of me. "..." Then I realized. The bullet. I looked down on my stomach, it wasn't there anymore. Just a huge bleeding wound... "Chrystaline?" "Just call me Chris." "... Chris." She looked at me, smiling sadly, and looked away. "..." It wasn't painful, the wound. It was the powerful impact of that tiny bullet that seared like a wildfire across my skin. The pain stayed there, for what seemed like an eternity. 'At least in ten years I can finally see the demons in hell...' "Thanks." ----- ^_^
-------- "This... Is... Awkward." Chrystaline, or Chris as she wants me to call her, was looking above, her face white and her arms wrapped around her knees. "... I guess so." Her long brown curly hair was a mess, but I liked it. Just as much as I liked her hazel eyes, the ones that lure me into her secret web. She was annoying, no doubt, but there was something about her that makes me want to rip her open and find that special something, yet I couldn't. She was fidgeting with something, her pocket. She took out her phone and dialed a number, and- "WHAT?!" I quickly grabbed her phone from her, and she sat there dumbfounded. Her red eyes were staring at me and I just glared at her until she asked, "What?!" "Are you mad woman?!" She shrugged and took the phone away from me gently. "Could've just said no..." Instead of calling someone, she played games on her phone until I interrupted her. "How nice of you. Really. Playing on your phone while I sit here doing nothing, waiting for safety." She groaned and put away her phone, and I smirked, glad that I was torturing her. "This is hell. Sitting here doing nothing." 'You don't even get what hell means... Try suffering in it for about a thousand years, being rejected by your girlfriend then being reincarnated as a anti-social nerd.' I couldn't say that, no, so I just sat there, waiting patiently until she had to bring THAT topic up. "Hey Daniel... What... Happened to your parents?" I nearly flinched, but kept my cool as I looked at her and replied in my smooth voice, "They died in a car accident." I was lying, of course, but what had I to say? Tell her the truth? I rather die than to spill the beans. It was unfair. I had already dragged her into this. Am I going to make her suffer more? She's like a butterfly stuck to the edge of a web, the spider already advancing towards it. Reaching out, she place her hand on my leg and sighed. "I'm sorry." And before I could say anything, she pulled her hand away and yawned. ----- FAP.
