PROLOUGE: 6 years ago... "Nicci?..." A small girl walked down the hallway in a dark house, her light brown hair illuminated by the candles on either side of her. "... Nicci?... Moms looking for you..." The floorboards beneath her feet creaked as she walked over them. "... Nicci?..." She turned into a dark room, Nicci's room. "... Nicci, this isn't funny!... Cut it out..." She looked towards the bathroom, the wavering glow of candlelight dancing across the carpet. She slowly pushed open the door. "Nicci!" A pale-faced girl floated eerily in the bathtub, fully clothed and surrounded by blood. "... Amber..." Her voice was faint and strained, and her breathing was shallow and ragged. "... Amber..." The ragged breathing stopped, instead replaced by a silence that made the air heavy. The small girl looked down in horror at what had been her fifteen-year-old sister. My new story, if you're confused it's okay, it's all explained. I have a sign up sheet too. So if you want to be in the story sign up there...
In life there is always the in-crowd. Perfect skin, hair, clothes, life, they have everything they could ever want, or that's what it looks like to an outsider. Beneath their masks lies secrets, secrets that could destroy you, secrets that could take your dream life and turn it into your worst nightmare. Meet Amber Crawford, typical popular girl. Perfect brown hair, no tan lines, bright blue eyes, cheerleading Captain, always on honor roll, universally adored by all. But beneath her beauty and brains is a secret, a secret that is slowly destroying her, the guilt slowly driving her crazy. And that, dear reader, is where this story begins. BEEP, BEEP, BEEP Amber awoke with a start. She hit the button on top of her alarm clock and jumped out of bed. She could hear her older sister downstairs screaming about her cereal and her younger one singing along with the radio next to her bed. Amber quickly ran to her closet and picked out an outfit. As soon as she had her skirt pulled up she sailed to the bathroom. She had barely begun to straighten her hair when she heard somebody pounding on the door. "AMBER! You've been in there forever!" She opened the door to see her younger sister Alyssa standing there looking as angry as a 13-year-old could. "I need to do my make-up!" Amber sighed. "You can't use any of mine." Alyssa opened her mouth. "—or Rouges" "—or Moms." Alyssa stamped her foot and pouted. "That's not fair!" "Life's not fair!" And with that she slammed the door. Ten minutes laterAmber waltzed out of the bathroom and downstairs. She looked over to see Rouge looking at her. "What?" She held up the car keys and smiled. "I'm driving!" "NO!" She frowned. "Why not?" "Because I value my life." "Come on Amber! I can drop you and Alyssa off on my way to class!" "Oh yes, Miss Community college needs to get to her, what was it again? Art class." Rouges eyes shot daggers. "Well excuse me for trying to be nice!" "You're excused." And with that she sat down and poured herself a bowl of cereal. Woop woop! first real update! I still need characters so go sign up!!

"Good morning Amber, Rogue." Amber nodded absentmindedly while Rouge barely acknowledged her. Alyssa bounced down wearing a short flowered skirt and tank-top. "Morning!" Their mother looked at her. "What on Earth are you wearing? Go change this instant!" "But why? Amber's skirt is even shorter! And Rouge looks like she's wearing a pair of black underwear!" "Rouge is 18 and Amber is 16, they aren't children anymore!" "Neither am I!" Alyssa stormed upstairs and bumped into somebody on the way. He turned to the others. "What's got her in a fit?" Their mom sighed. "The usual, good morning Carl." "Morning Janet, morning Rouge, Amber." Rouge smiled at him. "Good morning Dad!" They looked at Amber, she looked back. "Morning Carl." Carl sighed and sat down. "I really wish you would call me Dad." "You're not my Dad, Carl." Amber stormed out of the door right into Alyssa. Alyssa turned to the others. "What's with her?" Carl settled down to read the newspaper. "The usual." "Oh... Good morning Carl!"
